I have slightly visible pores on my nose and butterfly zone, and while I don't often get blemishes, my skin is sensitive. I've been interested in brightening products, so I was thrilled to receive this as a gift. It even came with samples, which I'm trying first! Scent: It has a subtle fragrance. Among Kiehl's toner line, I find this one to have the most pleasant scent. It's not off-putting at all when using. Texture & Application: It has a water-like consistency that flows easily. Remember to shake it before use to mix in the settled pearlescent particles (not sure what they are, but they're there). It absorbs quickly and lightly upon contact with the skin, which I love. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I feel like my face looks brighter after application, probably due to those particles. Repurchase? If the price was more budget-friendly, I'd definitely repurchase. The scent and application are both great. It's perfect for a light layer after cleansing. While it might be a bit pricey to use as an exfoliating toner, I'd recommend doing the 7-skin method with it. Personally, I use a more affordable option for exfoliation and use this in the evening as an absorbing toner. Sometimes I'll soak a cotton pad and place it on areas with dark spots or pigmentation, especially around the eyes. Of course, with all skincare products, consistent use is key to seeing results!
ConsI've been using it for about a month and honestly, I don't have any major complaints. If I had to nitpick, I'd mention the caution ingredients... But the scent is fine, and it suits my skin well.
TipHere's a little trick: before bed, I soak a cotton pad with this toner and place it on my under-eye area while lying down. The next morning, I swear my dark circles look a bit lighter... or is that just my imagination? Haha!

I use it as both a toner and a water essence regularly. It's one of my favorite products. I dislike strongly scented cosmetics, so I appreciate that many Kiehl's products are fragrance-free. I have sensitive combination skin, but I've never experienced any blemishes while using this. While it doesn't dramatically brighten the skin, after using various brightening products, including this one, I often hear compliments about my bare skin looking brighter and healthier. I think this product has contributed to that effect. The pearlescent shimmer is beautifully subtle.
ConsUnfortunately, the shimmer particles settle at the bottom even after shaking vigorously. When I tried storing it upside down and then shaking before use, most of the shimmer disappeared... It's a bit on the pricier side, but ordering online is somewhat cheaper than buying in-store. I sometimes wonder if it's really okay to apply these shimmer particles to my face.
TipI think it works well as a substitute for toner. Since the shimmer settles at the bottom, try storing it upside down and giving it a gentle shake before use - you won't need to shake it too hard (though be careful, as too much shimmer might come out).
