Let me describe my skin condition first. I'm 36 and still dealing with acne. I should improve my diet and exercise routine, but being lazy, I live with blemishes and dead skin cells. My skin has enlarged pores, flakiness, and acne. I've tried every foundation, BB cream, and cushion out there, usually buying on impulse. But I've finished a whole compact of this one and bought two refills. Application: It glides on smoothly even when applied roughly. It's not so dewy that it transfers easily, nor so thick that it looks like a makeup mask. It gives a radiant finish while letting your natural skin tone show through, like a BB cream or tinted emulsion. Most impressively, it conceals dead skin cells and pores amazingly well. Of course, if you're lazy with exfoliation, it might flake a bit, but compared to other cushions (NARS, rom&nd, espoir, Jung Saem Mool, YSL), this one's application is unparalleled. Longevity: I used to have very oily skin, but now as I'm aging, I'm oily in some areas and extremely dry in others. Some products disappear as they wear off, while others crumble and break down. This one seems to fade gracefully. However, it doesn't completely vanish into thin air - you can touch up with a tissue and reapply just around the nose without needing a full touch-up. Blemishes: My skin breaks out when it wants to, regardless of what I use. If blemishes were already forming, they'll appear, and if it's a good skin day, nothing comes up. In other words, this product hasn't caused any skin reactions. Color: I really dislike looking like a pale ghost with just a floating face, but I'm not sure about the Light Ivory shade. I usually use 22-23, and this color enhances my complexion nicely. When I use rom&nd's 23, my boyfriend is startled because it looks like stage makeup, but he doesn't react when I wear this cushion, so it must look natural. All in all, it's not cakey, nor is it too sheer - it has just the right color and coverage.
ConsAmount & Puff (sold separately): Like all cushions, the amount is too small. The puff is great (I was using a 200 won Rubycell puff from the internet, but I picked up the puff I was about to throw away and used it again), but why don't they sell the puffs separately? As for the amount, I used it about three times a week for a month or two, and it's already gone.
TipWhen filling in pores, apply it like you're plastering - swipe it across your nose. The pores will be filled in while other makeup might come off. First fill in the pores, then pat it on again. It applies as well as if you used a brush.
