This light oil might be slightly insufficient for extremely dry skin types! When mixed with cream and applied in the final skincare step, it absorbs well without any stickiness!

There wasn't anything I disliked. Once, I applied too much to my hair and it clumped a bit, but that's my fault. Other than that, it's a decent, no-fuss oil.

I bought this because it's cold-pressed. The combination of Moroccan argan seems great for both skin and hair. It's not an extremely rich type, which I liked as it feels relatively light for a face oil. It's nice to mix a bit into your final skincare step for a light application.

It's drying. Those who say it's not drying probably don't have extremely dry skin. I have severely dry skin, so I use it as a final step when washing my face, apply three drops before my cream, and then use six drops as a moisturizing barrier after applying cream, but it's still drying. People without extremely dry skin will likely be satisfied.

It doesn't clog pores, so it doesn't cause blemishes. I have sensitive skin that's prone to clogged pores, and my skin doesn't agree with jojoba oil, Zeroid, or Physiogel. This is an oil that people with similar skin concerns might find suitable.

It's great to use with skincare products that suit you. I use it with toner and it's amazing - my skin feels at peace. Here's a super pro tip: After cleansing, fill the sink with lukewarm water, add 2-3 drops of argan oil, and rinse your face with it. Your skin will feel incredibly moisturized even without applying anything else. If argan oil doesn't seem to work for you, try this method - you'll be satisfied!

Some people use it alone, but in my case, using it by itself made my complexion look worse and felt too greasy and heavy. So, I started mixing a few drops of argan oil with toner in a separate bottle and shaking it before use. Now my skin tone looks better, my skin doesn't feel tight, and it's absolutely fantastic.

Argan oil is famous for not clogging pores, so if it agrees with your skin, I guarantee it'll be your lifelong go-to oil. It's excellent for hydration, and when used with other products, it works wonders as a booster. I've been using it successfully on my troublesome skin for over a year now.

I wouldn't particularly recommend this if you have oily skin or prefer dry oils with a clean finish. Also, it's worth noting that it doesn't have fair trade certification.

If you're looking for a moisturizing oil, I highly recommend argan oil. It's slightly more hydrating and richer than jojoba oil. Among The Ordinary oils, it's on the heavier side, making it perfect for dry skin. It's cold-pressed and unrefined, offering great value for money. The versatility is a big plus - you can use it on your hair, body, and face. I find myself going through a bottle every couple of months.

If you dislike the sticky feeling of hand creams when your hands are dry, try using this oil instead. The softness lasts longer than hand cream, even after washing your hands.

The consistency and hydration level are similar to rosehip oil. If you have very dry skin and prefer a more substantial rich feel, this might be a bit lacking. The cap is stiff to open and close.

The scent... oh, the scent is such a letdown. It's really unpleasant after application. I suppose that's because it's 100% organic, probably the raw smell of the ingredients. Also, I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin. The shine might be too noticeable!

I bought this product to use when drying my hair! I apply it before blow-drying, and it feels like my hair gets a protective coating. You can actually see the nourishing oils spreading evenly through the strands.

When the absorbs is poor, try mixing it with a bit of mist (I use thermal water mist) or toner (I use hyaluronic acid). Just a small amount helps it spread better. Be careful not to overdo it though! (You can use a bit more than shown in the photo - the middle blob is my thermal water mist.)
It also works well mixed with mineral sunscreen to prevent dryness.

The absorbs isn't great when applied on its own, so I mix it with half a pump of mist or a nail-sized amount of toner. It's thinner than the rosehip oil I used before, which is typical for oils.

I've been using rosehip separately due to the niacinamide, but feeling a bit dry, I decided to purchase this. I'm quite satisfied.
My routine is: mist - toner - (niacinamide+zinc) - (arbutin+HA) - 3 drops of oil + a bit of mist - cream.
As you can see, it's almost a water fest from mist to two serums, but this oil neatly ties it all together. Even with the heater on tonight, my skin doesn't feel parched after applying the cream.
It maintains hydration while providing just the right amount of richness. I think I've finally found my perfect skincare routine!

Argan oil itself provides high hydration, so using excessive cream can cause blemishes due to over-nourishment, not because of the oil. I recommend reducing one step in your existing skincare routine or mixing it with a gentle product without active ingredients.

When I want to use it less intensively, I often mix two drops of squalane oil with one drop of argan oil. This allows for lighter absorption while leaving a thin layer of hydration.

I feel a vague sense of guilt using a natural product made from endangered argan fruit through harsh labor.

Purchased The Ordinary Argan Oil for its appropriate volume and price. Usually, argan oil is expensive and comes in large quantities due to its high cost and frequent use in hair care, but this one has just the right amount at a very affordable price.

- About 7 years ago, I briefly used argan as my first face oil but stopped after hearing that oily skin shouldn't use it.
After years of using oils and researching, I learned that while the oleic acid ratio is slightly higher than linoleic acid, it doesn't clog pores. I decided to try it again because it's good for inflammation and rich in vitamin E. As I age, I wanted something moisturizing with added nourishment (I use it after toner only or toner-serum due to my skincare diet).

2. Hydration/Anti-inflammatory
Starting with one drop and using up to three drops, it provides a more definite moisture barrier compared to lighter oils. It hasn't caused any blemishes; instead, it gradually reduced acne around my mouth and chin that increased from mask-wearing over about ten days. I never squeeze them and let them subside naturally. For a few nodular acne, I only spot-treat with benzoyl peroxide when severe, then just cover with the oil barrier as they start to heal.

3. Improved elasticity
Most natural oils seem to have anti-inflammatory or elasticity-improving effects, likely due to their moisturizing properties. While rosehip oil's main advantage was complexion improvement, argan oil seems to enhance elasticity, making wrinkles less noticeable. Personally, I think the excellent hydration plays a big role in this effect.
