It also gives my eye makeup a more sophisticated look. I use this product as an eyeliner guide, then use a brush pen for the outer corners. The shadow is as pigmented as eyeliner, so it fills in any gaps nicely. Compared to using just a brush pen, it creates a much more natural and depth-filled eye look that I'm really satisfied with. It doesn't seem to smudge unless you're crying or rubbing your eyes. As part of the Powder Kiss line, it's incredibly soft and velvety, with excellent color payoff. It's truly an amazing product. For reference, while NARS Galapagos is closer to a burgundy, this product has a near-black pigmentation. I usually use Galapagos as a guide and then use this MAC product where I want more intense color for a more defined look. There's not much to criticize. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price is quite high for a single eyeshadow. But even though it's pricier than MAC's regular eyeshadow line, the quality is exceptional. My skin type: - Combination dehydrated skin (oily on the surface but deep dryness underneath) - Super sensitive skin + atopic (highly reactive to external factors; skin becomes dull and irritated with lack of sleep or stress. It's somewhat vulnerable to scratching, moisture, and sweat, so be careful. When it does smudge, it fades to a very light tint rather than leaving dark, messy marks. - Use a flat, thin brush like MAC 212. Lightly pick up product on the tip and press it gently at the outer corner of your eye to create a wing easily. - The swatch in the photo shows a smudged application, but if you apply it with more pressure like you would with an eyeliner, you can achieve the same intense color as shown on the product.
