    Pros

This product introduced me to shower oils for the first time. Initially, I wasn't impressed. Like others mentioned, the lather was... well, non-existent. I thought, 'Is this right?' It seemed so odd that I had to look it up. Turns out, shower oil isn't used like regular body wash. You're supposed to lather it in your hands and massage it onto your skin before rinsing. So I tried again using this method. 1. Lather Even with the correct technique, it doesn't produce a rich lather. For someone who's used body wash their whole life, it was unfamiliar and confusing. I get that it's oil, but still, it's hard to work up a good lather with your hands. 2. Convenience On the plus side, it is convenient. Skipping the loofah or washcloth step saves time in the shower, which I appreciate. 3. Hydration My skin has been extremely dry lately, and this felt less drying than regular body wash. It's not incredibly moisturizing by any means, but after showering, if I touch my skin without applying anything else, it feels less parched. There's a very slight, barely noticeable softness (on a scale of 0-100, maybe a 2?). At least the dry, itchy feeling has significantly decreased. Here's a bit of a dirty secret: on days off when I skip showering for a day or two, my skin feels like I've applied a velvety body cream (about a 12-15 on that 0-100 scale of moisture). It's a unique feeling, different from typical oiliness, which made me realize it does have a hydrating effect. Still, I find it's not enough on its own, so I follow up with body cream.

    Cons

    4. Scent Initially, the fragrance wasn't bad. It's a mix of coconut and almond, which aren't my favorites but not deal-breakers either. However, after use, the scent reminds me of an eraser. It's like my body has turned into a giant eraser! 5. Ingredients Personally, I don't react well to linalool and limonene. I suspect these ingredients are causing some itchiness. It's odd because my skin doesn't feel dry enough to be itchy, but it is, and I think these components are to blame.

    Tip

    6. Overall impression It's not bad. This type of product could be beneficial for those with very dry skin or people who need to shower twice a day (using body wash once and shower oil the other time). However, I'm not necessarily recommending this specific product, just the concept of shower oils for those situations. This particular one isn't a must-have. I'd rate it about 3.4 out of 5.

    Pros

I received this as a gift from a friend and was pleased with the generous size. The way it absorbs seems pretty good too.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the scent wasn't to my liking... which was quite disappointing. If we're just talking about hydration, though, it seems decent enough.
