As someone with dry, seborrheic scalp, I've tried countless shampoos, but this is the only one that's truly worked for me. The all-in-one version with conditioner is absolutely the best. While it's effective, it doesn't completely eliminate my scalp dermatitis, so I'm still on the hunt for the perfect solution. Interestingly, when I try other shampoos, the dandruff comes back, forcing me to return to this one - it's a never-ending cycle! If dandruff is affecting your daily life, I highly recommend giving this product a shot. Go for the all-in-one with conditioner if you can. You should see results in about a week - if not, it might be time to explore other options. I wish they could maintain this level of effectiveness while removing the surfactants. I'm terrified it might be discontinued... please don't stop making it, I don't want to become the Dandruff Man! A reliable and proven dandruff-fighting shampoo. Highly recommend the all-in-one version with conditioner (available on the Hwahae website). - co*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 11, 2022
As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I'm really enjoying this product. It's truly great for the scalp, living up to its reputation. If I had to point out a downside, the quantity is a bit small compared to the price. This product comes in two versions: shampoo and shampoo+conditioner. I recommend the latter. While the shampoo alone is cheaper, it barely lathers. - an********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 1, 2022
Highly recommended for those with seborrheic dermatitis! As someone with wavy hair that tends to tangle, washing my hair used to be such a struggle. My scalp was inflamed, oozing, and scabbing - I didn't even realize how bad it was. I relied on prescription medication for about 3 months, only taking it when the itching became unbearable. But using this for scalp scaling 2-3 times a week has been even more effective than the pH-balanced shampoo my dermatologist prescribed. My hair is less matted, and my once-rigid scalp has become soft and supple. Even my blemishes have calmed down! It can leave your hair feeling stiff and dry, so you might need to use a conditioner or hair essence. For the lengths of your hair, you may want to use a different shampoo. Apply only to the scalp, leave for 3-5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water. - oc****Dry SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2022
I've used over 10 bottles while the packaging has been renewed twice. It's particularly effective for psoriasis on the scalp. While it works well for me, the scent is quite polarizing. You can get used to it, and considering its effectiveness, it's manageable. This isn't a foaming type. Apply it after your first shampoo, leave it on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse. There's a shampoo and conditioner in the same line, but personally, I didn't find them as effective. - be*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 16, 2022
Recommended for seborrheic dermatitis, and it definitely works. When I use an unsuitable shampoo or don't wash my hair for a while, causing painful and itchy blemishes on my scalp, using this for a few days in a row really calms things down. I'm not too concerned about the ingredients... In my experience, good ingredients don't always mean it works well, and vice versa. The main downsides are the high price and the fact that you need to order it from overseas, which makes it less accessible. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2022
Excellent for relieving scalp itchiness and removing dead skin cells. Leaves a refreshing feeling after use. Using it 2-3 times a week is just right. It doesn't lather well, which may lead to using more product than necessary. The lack of a pump dispenser makes it slightly inconvenient to use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinNov 29, 2021
Worth a try if you have seborrheic dermatitis or sensitive scalp. The scent, texture, and ingredients leave much to be desired. There are quite a few drawbacks that make it less appealing for long-term use. - el*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 11, 2021
Instant relief for dandruff and itchy scalp. I've tried countless dandruff shampoos, but none have been as effective as this one. Its effectiveness outweighs any drawbacks. I've used dozens of bottles and always keep it stocked. When I use shampoos with SLS or get irritating treatments like perms or dyes at the salon, I almost always end up with bumpy, itchy scalp blemishes. In those cases, I first cleanse with a gentle shampoo, then apply this Jason shampoo like a scalp mask. I massage it thoroughly into my scalp, wrap my wet hair in a towel, and leave it for about 30 minutes before rinsing (I've tried various methods, but this works best for me). The menthol and camphor soothe my scalp, while salicylic acid dissolves dead skin cells. Within a week at most, my scalp returns to normal. Dandruff comes back if I stop using it. But with consistent use, eventually you can skip it occasionally without issues. For maintenance, I use it as a second shampoo once a week, leaving it on for 3 minutes before rinsing. Let's be together forever! I'd be lost if this product is discontinued. 1. It doesn't lather well. Think of it more as a scalp treatment to apply and rinse off rather than a cleansing shampoo. A first shampoo is definitely necessary. 2. The smell is very strong, like menthol or muscle rub, and lingers even after rinsing. I've been asked if I have a pain patch on my head. However, its effectiveness outweighs all drawbacks. Those who've struggled with seborrheic dermatitis will understand. They've released a 2-in-1 version with conditioner. It has a different texture (still doesn't lather well) and a less intense scent, but it can't match the effectiveness of this original version. 3. Available on iHerb, but they keep raising the price, those rascals! Yet I'm already a slave to this product. I'd be lost if it's discontinued. After your regular shampoo, apply this product as a scalp mask, leave it on, then rinse. - no*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 3, 2021
After using it for 4 days, I'm thrilled to see almost no oily, yellow sebum coming from my scalp. I'm so happy! While some white flakes are still shedding, I believe this will gradually improve, especially considering how much I've been scratching my scalp before. It's challenging to work up a good lather, making it hard to scrub thoroughly. I saw results on the first day, but when I washed carelessly the next day, my hair quickly became greasy and limp. Since then, I've been making sure to wash more diligently... Since salicylic acid doesn't agree well with my scalp, I've been mixing this shampoo with another one. This combination creates a nice lather and works well for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2021
Other shampoos caused a lot of blemishes on my scalp, but this one has really improved the situation It smells like menthol rub and doesn't lather much, so sometimes I wonder if it's actually cleaning
