It seems they're trying to minimize irritation to the skin. Even so, as someone with sensitive skin, I felt a slight tingling sensation while applying it. The absorption is excellent though - it feels like it contains moisturizing ingredients and glides on smoothly! Scent - It has a warm fig fragrance! I liked that it wasn't overpowering. It's the kind of scent that's nice to have but not essential...?! I think it might have been even better for sensitive skin without any fragrance (personally, I'm in the camp that believes fragrances should be avoided unless they're incredibly soothing...haha) Effectiveness - I bought this for gentle exfoliation, and it definitely makes my skin texture smoother. However, I'm not sure if that's because it's actually removing dead skin cells or if the sugar is just moisturizing my skin? While the tube packaging is convenient, it seems to run out really quickly... And it feels like there wasn't much product in the tube to begin with... Even though it's gentle, scrubs will always cause some irritation, so it's a good idea to follow up with a soothing mask! This scrub creates a smooth and soft skin texture. You can feel the black sugar particles in the formula, which really helps with texture care. For those with sensitive skin, I recommend wetting the product slightly to dissolve the formula a bit before using it!
