ProsThe gloss doesn't feel sticky or tacky, so it doesn't leave a gooey residue on your mask. And the color payoff is really great.
ConsThe formula wasn't quite what I expected for a typical gloss. It sits quite thickly and heavily on the lips, smoothing over lip lines, but more like a tinted balm than a glossy finish.
However, it does work well as a cheek tint and is easy to wear under a mask.
The color payoff is quite impressive for a gloss, with just one swipe giving you a bold, pigmented look.
But it didn't have the translucent, glass-like shine I was hoping for - it's a bit less luminous than a traditional lip gloss.
The color is a slightly muted red with a hint of plum and burgundy. It's not too cool-toned.
(For my slightly deeper, winter-leaning skin tone, it blends in quite naturally.)
There are gold and pink/purple shimmer particles, and the gold reflects most on the lips. It's not overly shimmery or opalescent though - it might even look better without the pearl.
The staying power is almost non-existent.
Overall, it was quite different from what I expected, which was disappointing. But it's still a wearable, everyday kind of product.
TipI think this would look especially nice on cooler-toned, lighter skin tones!
