Here's my honest review of the Burt's Bees Ginger Lime lip balm that I bought with my own money when I urgently needed one. 1. Application It applies smoothly, similar to other Burt's Bees lip balms. It glides on softly and leaves a long-lasting moisturized feeling. 2. Hydration The hydration is excellent! The formula itself isn't too soft, maintaining a nice firmness. My lips tend to be quite dry, but after one application, they feel comfortable. It contains ingredients great for lip hydration like sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, and beeswax. The scent... To be honest, I expected it to be about 90% lime and 10% ginger, but it's the opposite. It could easily pass for a ginger-scented lip balm. (I personally dislike ginger so much that I won't even touch lemon-ginger tea.) If you don't mind the smell of ginger, it might be fine. But for those like me who have a strong aversion to ginger scent, I strongly advise against buying this. The ginger smell is overpowering - definitely not recommended! I probably won't repurchase this in the future. There are plenty of other Burt's Bees lip balms with nicer fragrances. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2021
The scent is lovely. I tried the mango one, and it has a fresh, delicious fragrance. This one is definitely my favorite. It tends to melt and become mushy if left in warm places. Word of advice: don't leave it on an electric heating pad!
