It feels like it's giving my skin an extra layer of protection. I'm using this product along with others to manage my dark spots, and it's working well to complement my regular skincare routine. This product alone isn't quite enough for brightening. Also, because it feels like it's coating the skin, if you apply it during your skincare routine, it seems to prevent other products like serums from absorbing properly. It might work best as a supplementary step in your brightening skincare routine, used alongside other brightening products. - li*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 15, 2021
I bought the Chogongjin Seolbon Whitening Essence and decided to try the cream from the same line. The texture is quite close to a hydrating moisturizer. It absorbs well into the skin without feeling greasy. While the brightening effect isn't dramatic, I plan to use it consistently. I would consider repurchasing. For those with combination dehydrated skin like mine, it might feel a bit dry. The jar packaging could be convenient, but you need to be careful about hygiene. Personally, I find tube or pump packaging more practical. The regular price is a bit steep, so it's best to buy during sales. - qk***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 14, 2021
When I first used it, it gave a nice glow and I loved the rich, bouncy texture The longer I used it, the less effective it seemed. Maybe my skin has changed... - jk*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJan 12, 2021
The product comes in a generous amount and has a unique texture. Unlike regular creams, it's more like a firm, sorbet-like consistency. It's not overly rich in oils. On days when my skin feels super sensitive, I'm hesitant to use it. That said, it doesn't cause blemishes when I do use it... - wo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2021
It applies smoothly and feels like a hydrating moisturizer. While it might not provide enough moisture for winter use, it's perfect for spring through fall. I'm not sure about its brightening effects, but overall, I don't have any major complaints. - tk**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2021
Significant improvement in dark spots! I had some light pigmentation, and it improved more than I expected. Of course, it didn't completely disappear, but it's now easily covered with makeup! The moisturizing effect is also good, and there was a noticeable improvement in skin texture! I've tried many brightening products and been disappointed often, so I bought this without much expectation. I was surprised by how much it actually improved my skin! I'm considering repurchasing. It's a bit challenging to apply as it stretches out like snail cream... Though the viscosity does make it feel moisturizing and nice! As expected, it seems less effective on deeper pigmentation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 25, 2020
When applied, the next morning it feels like there's a milky veil on your skin. For those with dry skin like me, it's great because while the texture feels light and fresh, it actually contains quite a bit of moisture. Those with oily skin might find it a bit greasy. My husband and I use it together, and his skin ends up looking quite shiny. It seems like it would work well if used consistently, without overdoing it. - to***Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 25, 2020
Container: Despite its appearance, it's not too heavy but quite large and a bit excessive, haha! Scent: A light, perfume-like fragrance without a powdery note. Texture: Similar to Missha Time Revolution Royal Cream, but slightly more fluid. When you dab it with your finger, it has a stretchy consistency like snail cream. Feel on skin: There's minimal greasiness, and it finishes with a nice balance between moisturizing and matte. It doesn't feel oily and is surprisingly lightweight. Best feature: I used it very satisfactorily even on hot days. It would be perfect for spring and summer use. Not recommended for: Winter and autumn The scent might not be for everyone... Sometimes while using it, I find myself wanting to switch back to unscented creams. Also, I'm not sure about its brightening effectiveness. - cy*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 5, 2020
While the jar might look intimidating, once you actually apply it, you'll find it's not overly rich. In fact, it offers a perfect oil and moisture balance for spring and fall. There's no excess residue, making it ideal for those transitional seasons when a hydrating cream feels too dry, but nourishing creams or oils seem too heavy. It's difficult to claim effectiveness yet, as dark spots don't disappear quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2020
It absorbs smoothly and feels moisturizing. Great for spring, summer, and fall. The best part is that it creates a hydrating barrier, leaving your skin with a glossy, egg-like finish. Makeup applies well over it, and you'll notice a real difference in skin texture. The packaging looks a bit outdated, and I'm not sure about its brightening effects. It's mainly for improving skin texture.
