*Texture (5 stars)* Usually, I've been using quite thick cream products, but when I first touched this cream, I was like 'Huh?' It has a surprisingly unique texture - almost like a balm! *Application (4 stars)* Since I'm used to thicker products, this one feels really new to me! When you apply it to your face, it's not sticky at all! At first, it glides on smoothly, and then it leaves your skin feeling super soft. But personally, I still prefer that thick, rich feeling... *Scent (5 stars)* The scent is slightly herbal? It has a grassy smell that feels very eco-friendly! *Hydration (5 stars)* Of course, the most important aspect of a winter cream is hydration, right? When you apply this cream, your face gets a glow... This balm-like texture completely shattered my doubts about its moisturizing abilities! *Packaging (2 stars)* At first, I thought the design was really innovative! But after using about half of it, I realized it might be a bit challenging... Even though it comes with a built-in spatula, I think it might still be inconvenient... For those with extremely dry skin like mine, try mixing a drop of oil with this product when applying - you'll breeze through this winter!!! I'm using it with camellia oil, and it works great! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2019
First Impression: I decided to purchase this after seeing that famous YouTube ad where it looks like bugs are crawling on your skin - you know the one if you watch beauty videos. I had been getting by on samples, but when the temperature suddenly dropped and I woke up feeling that telltale tightness, I finally started using it properly. As someone with dry skin, I appreciated that it moisturizes without being overly greasy. Of course, using just this after toner would be too dry, but it's not so light that you feel tight when layering it with other lightweight products, nor is it so heavy that it pills. This cream has the charm of being just right. Even for dry skin, it doesn't completely eliminate oil production - I've found that creams that are too heavy can actually cause milia. Despite its rich texture, it applies smoothly. (By the way, it has a grassy scent, or more precisely, it smells like banana peel.) Update after about two weeks: The absorption rate is neither fast nor slow, so it doesn't pill when layering other products. It seems like a decent, reliable cream for combination to dry skin types. One month update: My skin had a brief reaction period, and honestly, it didn't feel deeply hydrating - I even mixed in some jojoba oil at times because I felt dry. In conclusion, I'm revising my rating from 4 stars to 3. I can't say for certain that this cream caused my skin to react, and it's not completely incompatible with my skin, so I continued using it with a 'might as well use what I have' attitude. It's utterly unremarkable, without any standout hydrating or soothing properties. I suppose I fell for the social media marketing hype again. The shape of the container is incredibly inconvenient. While it comes with a spatula initially, it'll be very cumbersome to scrape out the product later on. Additionally, I wish they'd remove the fragrance. Personally, I try to avoid 'PEG' and 'fragrance' in skincare products. One morning I woke up and my forehead felt a bit tight. After continued use, it doesn't seem to provide that intense hydration or plumping effect. This cream seems better suited as a protective barrier rather than for deep hydration.
