Since it's a fixer, it would be difficult to expect the same volume as mascara.

It's a bit different from a regular mascara, with a slightly jelly-like texture. For those who love the Etude House 'Lash Perm' look, you should definitely try this - it's an upgraded version. It has the same feel, but is more vivid and has much better staying power!! There's no powdery or crunchy sensation, thanks to the jelly-like formula.

- If too much product comes out, you can dab it off with a tissue and then apply it lightly on the eyelashes.

- The bristles are a bit thick, so it's difficult to control the amount. I think it would have been better if the bristles were a bit thinner.
- Over time, the eyelashes do droop down a bit. But personally, I don't really mind that, as I don't like them to be sticking up rigidly all the time.

I am the owner of eyelashes that are completely limp and droop down after just 5 minutes of curling.
- I wanted something that could fix the curl without making it look overly done or obvious, and this is just perfect.
- It doesn't apply too thickly on the eyelashes, so it feels light and comfortable on the eyes.
- My eyelashes look a bit more defined now.
- I'm glad my eyelashes didn't get too long, as I prefer a more subtle eye makeup look, and overly long eyelashes can be a bit much.

A real pro tip for those with straight lashes! (It's a pro tip for everyone, really)
First, curl your lashes really well, then immediately apply a lash primer. After that, apply the mascara in 2 coats without clumping.
This will make the longevity last much longer!!
Also, start applying from the root of the lashes, and use more product on the root area compared to the outer part.
Apply more heavily and firmly on the root area, and lightly tap the brush to apply the outer part, so the root area gets firmly fixed, making the mascara last longer and look better.

As expected, not all the lashes were able to curl up, and some were still lying to the side.
The longevity didn't last as long for me, but it lasted much longer than the ones I used before!

It's an amazing double-layered mascara. It's a true straight lash mascara.
Even though it's a straight lash, the lash texture is not uniform, so no matter how much I use the curler, it just won't curl up, and the more I use the curler, the more the lashes bend to the side. And since it's a straight lash, when I apply mascara, after 30 minutes, it all comes off. So I usually have a really hard time using the curler or applying mascara.
Since my lashes are on the longer side, I chose a product with strong fixing power compared to other functions, and the fixing power worked really well compared to other products.
I used to use a skinny mascara, but this one curled my lashes much better, and since it's thicker than the skinny one, I was worried I might not be able to apply it well and it might get on my eyes, but I was able to apply it very comfortably.
It also applies well on the lower lashes!
I think I'll keep buying this product for my mascara from now on. ㅎㅎ
I had some photos taken at intervals to compare, but they got lost, so next time I'll make sure to take them again and update the review!

 As I mentioned before, I do use the eyelash curler really diligently!!!
You absolutely have to bring a lighter with you, for real.

First, 1. Heat up the eyelash curler and give your lashes an initial curl.

2. Heat it up again and clamp down to really set the curl.

3. You can use the tip of a cotton swab or, like me, I buy those thin wooden skewers from the dollar store and lightly singe them over a flame!!! 
And then you can lift the curl up, almost like curling hair with a curling iron - this is a super famous technique, and I'm not trying to promote anything, but I just can't explain it well with words, so I wanted to suggest a visual reference...

If you check out the Sakura Miyawaki video on the IZ*ONE channel (Sakura Miyawaki) around 19:46-20:33, you can see how she uses two of those wooden skewers to really work the curl.
(FYI, I actually char the ends of the skewers even more than Sakura does - that way you can get an even more precise curling motion)
That's how I finish off my eyelash curling routine!

And then after that, with the fixator on top, your lashes will seriously not budge, no matter how much you move around...

For reference, I really love long, voluminous, clumped lashes, so after using this fixator to set the curl, on days when I want an even more dramatic look, I'll layer the Maybelline New York pink-capped mascara on top to really clump them up!
Even though that makes them heavy and the curl might drop a bit, the fixator is just so amazing at keeping them in place, I swear 🥲 Please understand!
 
📣 To make sure the curl really stays locked in, you have to curl your lashes super well with the curler, and when applying the fixator, make sure to let each layer fully dry before adding more. And for any other mascaras, wait until the fixator is fully set before applying those as well!!!

 Hmm, if I had to point out one slight downside, it would be that, true to its name as a "fixator", it really does rely on the work you put in with your eyelash curler. 
The results are only as good as the curling you do yourself...?
But wait, why is that even a downside? That's just it living up to being a true fixator, isn't it? 
The quality of the mascara application is up to your own skills - if you do it well, it works amazingly, and if not, then that's on you. That's just the nature of it.

 Oh, you've tried the red-colored one too, huh? Well, that one is definitely a standalone mascara, and it's great in its own way, different from this fixator.
If you don't use mascara much for a natural look, but want something that really shows, I'd recommend that red one as well!

Apieu really has the perfect mascara for long, curled lashes...~

And just to add a tip - the fixator applies so smoothly without clumping!!! 🥲

But I actually like a bit of clumping, so on days when I want a more dramatic look, I'll layer the Maybelline New York pink one on top to get that clumped, heavy effect. And then I get so excited when I see my lashes standing so perfectly upright - it's like a tsunami of satisfaction!

There are no downsides.
The product is made so well, I'm just grateful.

It never smears, it's a true double-sided product.
It doesn't smear at all. It's even better than Kiss Me.

The only thing I've noticed is that it dries really quickly, so if I accidentally apply it too thickly on my eyelids and then have to wipe it off, it dries up so fast that it's hard to remove by the time I rummage through my pouch.

I've been using this product exclusively for about half a year, and I think it's the best fixative. Since my eyelashes are quite long, many other mascaras tend to droop a lot, so I always had to use an eyelash curler. But with this, once I curl and apply it, the shape just sets and it's incredibly convenient and nice.
