Bought this during a Watson's sale and used up the whole bottle before leaving this review. First off, it's incredibly hydrating. The texture is like a runny gel, which is accurate for its description as a 'snail mucin' type toner - definitely not watery. While it's not ideal for exfoliating toners, it works great for the '7-skin method'. Unlike some products that leave your skin feeling dry afterwards, this one doesn't. What's really impressive is how it helps prevent blemishes. As someone who struggled with acne in puberty and still deals with it as an adult, this is a godsend. When I get a breakout, I actually use less of other products and focus on this one. There was a time when I stopped using all my usual skincare except this toner and sunscreen, and it really helped calm my skin. These two benefits - hydration and blemish prevention - are definitely its strongest points.
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found that layering an emulsion or cream over this in my summer skincare routine made things feel too rich. Those with oily skin might struggle with this in the summer. I usually stop at 3-4 layers of this toner, which leaves my skin feeling adequately moisturized. The absorption is a bit slow, which can be frustrating during busy mornings when you're in a rush.
Even though it's a bit heavy as a toner, using it with the '7-skin method' could make it an all-in-one product, potentially eliminating the need for additional creams, especially for those with combination or oily skin.
