It can be a bit tricky to apply, depending on your skin condition. You need to experiment with the amount to get a feel for it. Sometimes when you layer and pat it in, it can apply unevenly. It's best to quickly spread it with your hands and then apply rapidly.

As someone with very oily skin, I'm really satisfied with the staying power and longevity. Even after hours, there's hardly any breakdown. For my skin type, this performance is excellent!

It works really well when mixed with Bobbi Brown's hydrating foundation in a 2:1 ratio.

It's extremely drying, so you absolutely need to mix it with a more hydrating foundation. If you leave it on the back of your hand for a moment, it becomes difficult to apply. The coverage is also quite low.

I used the Alabaster shade and I'm very satisfied with how bright it is! It's a great foundation for mixing (though too dry on its own). For my combination skin, it really controls oil well around the nose area.

As mentioned above, you really need to work quickly to blend it out right after application

This foundation is for those with flawless skin - no texture issues and small pores. It seems to apply better with a sponge or cushion. Make sure to test the color at the store. The shade seems to differ slightly from other Bobbi Brown foundations.

I bought this after testing on my hand at the department store. Couldn't test on my face due to wearing a mask, but if I had, I probably wouldn't have purchased it. On days when my skin isn't at its best, it flakes like dead skin cells. It doesn't adhere well to the face, and even after carefully blending with a puff, it clumps and separates after a short while. I apply it in sections, dabbing with a sponge, but it still doesn't blend smoothly. Just when I think it's applied well, I notice it's sitting on top of my skin. I've lost count of how many times I've had to wash it off and start over with a different product. Given that other foundations and cushions work fine for me, I don't think it's solely due to my skin condition. This is the first foundation that both my sister and I found completely incompatible - I gave it to her, and she returned it. Of all the Bobbi Brown foundations I've tried, this one suits me the least. I've used many matte foundations, but this is the most disappointing. I bought it in summer and keep using it not to waste it, but the amount doesn't seem to decrease. I'd like to give it one star, but I'm giving it two because of the generous quantity.

No need for separate powder or fixer. It doesn't transfer much onto masks.

I recommend testing the color offline but buying online. There's about a $10 difference, and online purchases come with two mini lipsticks as a gift!

There's really nothing bad to say! The price is so reasonable, it doesn't cause blemishes, and it gives a clear, transparent finish. Bobbi Brown, what's going on? You're doing an amazing job! Please don't discontinue this product!

I'm the one who wrote that detailed review about the Sand shade before! While I'm loving Sand, I felt it lacked a bit of brightness, so I ended up splurging on the Porcelain shade too.

I'll likely use Sand when I want a more subdued look or full coverage, while Porcelain seems perfect for a lighter, brighter complexion. Applying just a thin layer of Porcelain to the center of the face gives you that 'no-makeup' look but with a radiant complexion. Since I don't apply it to the outer edges, there's no noticeable color difference with my neck, and it even creates a natural contouring effect!

Porcelain is a beautiful ivory shade in the neutral family - not too yellow or pink. The official site lists it as shade 13, but that's not accurate. It's closer to a Korean foundation shade 21, or maybe 19 at most. Due to its formula, it applies thinly and transparently, blending with your skin tone. Even using a lighter shade won't look ashy or unnatural. Of course, if you apply it too thickly or all over, you might see a difference with your neck.

In my previous Sand review, I only recommended it for light makeup users. But I recently had an occasion to do heavier makeup, and it works! You can adjust the coverage and thickness. However, due to its formula, layering is a no-go - it'll just pill up. You need to apply it all at once.

First, dispense some product onto the back of your hand and spread it thinly. Then, apply a thin layer to one cheek or your forehead (only one area at a time, or it'll set and look patchy). Load your puff with foundation and pat it onto your face. You can control the coverage by adjusting how much you put on the puff. If you find it dry, you can lightly mist your puff.

If you need concealer, apply it before the foundation. Don't try to add anything on top after applying the foundation, or it'll clump and look uneven.

The formula is very fluid, almost like running water. Make sure to shake it well before use. When I used it without shaking, I'm not sure if it was just my imagination, but something felt off during application.

It's not really a downside, but it dries incredibly fast. If you dot it on your face and then try to blend, it sets quickly, making it difficult to spread. For best results, apply and blend perfectly on one area at a time. If you want to apply it to another area, squeeze out more product each time. If you apply it all over your face at once and then try to blend, it will have already set and look patchy.

It doesn't transfer onto masks at all! And the color is absolutely stunning - in my opinion, it's a beautifully soft ivory white. Above all, it feels incredibly powdery. I have very oily skin in my T-zone, but this powder foundation really lives up to its name. I love that my forehead doesn't get shiny even after hours of wear. I don't think there's a better summer foundation out there.
