Squeeze the foundation onto the back of your hand, load it onto the sponge, and gently spread it evenly across your face. ☆ Absolutely NO patting or tapping! The setting power and adherence are no joke, so patting will create uneven patches. You need to apply it in thin layers! ☆ Relax your wrist and fingers, and apply with a gentle sweeping motion. 2. It has a decent average coverage, so I'm surprised by reviews saying it doesn't. (I'm wearing it for the first time today and heading out with a mask on. I'll update as time passes.) It transfers onto the mask right after application... It might be good to lightly powder the nose bridge and cheek areas before putting on a mask... There's no need to powder separately. If you do, just a touch on the areas that tend to get shiny... Otherwise, those with dehydrated skin might experience deep dryness. After all that effort with skincare to keep your skin plump, powdering would defeat the purpose...

At first, I felt it set too quickly, causing clumping, and I wasn't sure how to apply it. But once I got used to it, it's fantastic! It applies so thinly and finishes with a powder-like feel without needing additional powder. It barely transfers to my mask too! Not many people seem to be using it yet, but I hope it doesn't get discontinued. The tube packaging is hygienic and convenient to carry around. The longevity is top-notch - even when it fades, it does so gracefully. No darkening either. As time passes, it gives the most natural skin-like finish... For reference, I have combination-oily skin with large pores in the T-zone. This has dethroned Estée Lauder as my holy grail foundation! The coverage isn't great. Compared to Estée Lauder, it's more like an overall tone correction. However, with mask-wearing, I prefer this type that fades cleanly rather than breaking down messily. It finishes very thin and matte, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who prioritize coverage. Absolutely avoid using a damp beauty sponge. It causes major pilling! I found that applying with fingers also led to clumping due to the powder in the formula. After trying various methods, I discovered that using a dry wedge sponge to swipe and pat it on works best for a smooth application.
