Despite being an ampoule, it had a rich, essence-like texture and absorbed into the skin with a hydrating feel. The refreshing scent was satisfying every time I used it, and I was pleased that it didn't contain added fragrances. Some reviews mentioned a tingling sensation, but I never experienced it. However, I think it might occur when the skin is damaged, giving the impression that it could help improve skin condition. What I liked most was that it didn't cause any blemishes and had gentle ingredients. It's hard to find products without phenoxyethanol, so I was satisfied that all the ingredients were mild, making me feel comfortable using it. When using matte foundations, I usually apply essence or oil right before makeup for better application. Some products can make the skin look overly oily, but this Cica ampoule provided hydration without excess oil, allowing makeup to apply smoothly. Although the dropper requires movement during use, I was pleased that the container wasn't glass, so I didn't have to worry about dropping it.
While I liked the plastic container and dropper, the product kept gurgling during use. Shaking the product, opening, using, and closing repeatedly caused it to overflow at the opening, requiring constant wiping. It seemed effective for absorption and improving skin texture, but I'm doubtful about its effects on reducing redness, clearing blemishes, or repairing damage. I have redness-prone skin with seborrheic dermatitis and sensitivity, but I didn't notice significant improvement in redness or calming of sensitive skin. My skin wasn't highly damaged, but with frequent makeup use and seasonal changes, it couldn't be damage-free. However, I didn't see major improvements. Based on ingredients alone, it would be a 5-star product, but due to the lack of noticeable skin changes and the container's gurgling issue, I'd give it 3 stars.
