TMI alert! I have extremely sensitive, oily skin that's a real pain to deal with. I've probably abandoned or given away enough products that didn't work for me to fill a truck. I've wasted quite a bit of money on cosmetic adventures, trying everything from Kiehl's and Clinique to pharmacy brands like La Roche-Posay and Avène. Finding the right product is incredibly challenging. Recently, I tried the Hwahae top-rated Dr.G moisturizer for a few days, only to end up with five or six cystic blemishes. I had to visit the dermatologist for medication and injections to recover - it was a nightmare. Then I discovered the 'Ghost Ampoule' on Hwahae. Seeing it had no concerning ingredients, I took a chance and applied to be a Hwahae Tester. Lucky me, I was selected! First Impressions: The texture was thinner and more watery than I expected. You need to shake it well before use as it separates into layers. Even after shaking, it remains relatively fluid. To compare its consistency, it's slightly thinner than the CHA:LAB Mugenner Ampoule. It has a runny texture, similar to a watery toner. It feels a bit slippery, and upon application, it seems like your skin instantly absorbs the ampoule. However, there is a slight residue. Even hours later, my cheeks and forehead still feel moisturized. I also noticed a slight richness to it. The liquid itself is green, which might raise concerns about artificial coloring, but the ingredients list shows no issues, so no need to worry. There's a very subtle aroma of essential oils, which made me hesitate initially. I was concerned it might be irritating. It does sting a bit on broken skin, like around my nose where it's red and raw from excessive blowing due to allergies. Effects: The deep dryness has almost completely disappeared. I have combination dehydrated skin that tends to break out when I use multiple hydrating products. So, I experimented by using only this ampoule before makeup, skipping toner and moisturizer. Surprisingly, I didn't experience any dryness or tightness throughout the day.
Cons: I'm still observing whether this causes any blemishes, and the results are a bit ambiguous. What's certain is that I didn't see any effect on reducing existing blemishes or acne, at least not on my skin. I plan to continue using it to see. Also, if you have oily skin, this might be too rich for summer use due to its slightly oily feel.
