I knew coix seed was rich in nutrients and good for flat warts, but there weren't many skincare products made with it on the market. I was thrilled to find one from the trusted brand OneThing, so I decided to give it a try. The texture is water-based, so it absorbs lightly without any stickiness when you pat it in. It's perfect for use in the morning before makeup without feeling heavy, and in the evening to soothe tired skin after a long day. Knowing that it's made with 100% organic, pesticide-free, domestically-grown coix seed makes me trust it even more.
I've been using it as an exfoliating toner by applying it with an embossed cotton pad, but it doesn't seem to have much effect on dead skin cells. It's probably best to think of coix seed extract as more for nourishment and soothing rather than exfoliation.
When decanting, you can pour half into a pad container to use as an exfoliating toner, and put the other half in a spray bottle to mist your face throughout the day to keep dryness at bay.
