It absorbs well with a nice moisturizing feel, and I loved the slight cooling effect. The coverage was pretty decent too. Maybe because I have oily skin, but after a while, it starts to feel a bit greasy. I have a fairly light complexion, and even with shade 101, it looked a bit dull on me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2022
First off, the case is pretty, and I loved the cooling effect when applying. It's great at minimizing pores too. This cushion was too matte, making it difficult to apply naturally. If your skincare wasn't thorough enough or if you rubbed even slightly while applying makeup, it would pill and look patchy. Worse still, I developed some blemishes after using this. I usually prefer matte products as I dislike stickiness, and many people said this was good, but it just didn't work for me. Maybe I don't know my skin type well enough. If you really, really prep your skin well with hydrating products before using this, it might not be too bad... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2021
I love the cooling effect, and it's great that it has sun protection! Usually, sunscreens cause blemishes for me, but this one doesn't. It tends to transfer quite a bit when wearing a face mask... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2020
As someone with sensitive skin, I've never experienced breakouts or skin irritation while using this cushion. It effectively covers most blemishes and redness. The cooling effect when applying is refreshing! What I was most concerned about these days - transfer onto masks - is minimal, and the adherence to skin seems excellent. This is the best cushion I've used so far. Perhaps because I have dry skin, during seasonal changes like fall to winter, it can feel a bit tight and dry. Therefore, I recommend purchasing this for spring or summer rather than during transitional seasons. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 13, 2020
The cushion feels really firm and plump. I love the cooling effect when you first apply it. It's definitely too drying for winter use. Make sure to apply a solid base skincare routine before using this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 18, 2020
Wow, Moonshot really outdid themselves with this product! I was initially drawn in by the gorgeous packaging, but I'm equally impressed with its performance. While I can't compare it to the previous version, I can say the coverage is quite good - I'd rate it as medium to high. Though, I should mention my skin doesn't have many blemishes, so those who prefer higher coverage might have a different opinion. What I absolutely love is the cooling effect when applying - it's so refreshing! The foundation goes on incredibly thin and adheres beautifully to the skin. The puff is super soft and works perfectly with the product. Despite its matte finish, I didn't experience any deep dryness or tightness. Best of all, it barely transfers! Of course, there's some minimal transfer, but it's negligible and doesn't smudge. The staying power is impressive too! While it might not last the advertised 48 hours, it certainly stays put from morning till night when I get home. I love how it mixes with my skin's natural oils over time, creating an even more beautiful glow. One downside is the scent - it's a bit too strong for my liking. It's not overwhelmingly bad, but it's noticeable enough to be slightly off-putting. Another issue I encountered was some pilling around my nose area, which led to some dead skin cells flaking off. Lastly, I think my complexion has gotten a bit darker recently, so this shade doesn't quite match me anymore. I'm planning to try shade 201 next time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 19, 2020
The coverage is no joke, and it applies with amazing adherence, spreading thinly and evenly. Plus, it has a cooling effect, making it absolutely perfect as a summer cushion! Since it adheres so well with a somewhat matte finish, you really need to pay extra attention to your skincare routine before applying makeup. When used together with a mist or ampoule, it creates a beautifully radiant glow. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 24, 2020
Perfect for a summer cushion!!! Highly recommended! I used to like the original Setting Fit Cushion, but I felt it tended to break down easily, so I only used it for touch-ups. The cooling effect was great, making it excellent for quick fixes! When I heard about the renewal, I decided to give it a try, and wow, it's so much better!! First off, they changed the scent! The original had a somewhat unpleasant glue-like smell, but this one has a subtle floral fragrance! However, fragrance can be subjective, so I definitely recommend testing it yourself! The best part is the adherence!!! It truly transfers less. Of course, some transfer is inevitable after a while when you start sweating, but compared to other cushions, it's significantly less, which I love!! These days, I've been skipping foundation and just using this for my base. It barely breaks down, and with just a light touch-up where the mask sits, my complexion looks beautiful!! I think I'll be using this all summer! The attached photo compares mask transfer. Hmm... The cooling effect might make it less appealing for winter use? But it's still fantastic for summer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2020
1. The EX version's 101 shade is brighter than the previous product! The old one was a bit dark for me, but this new EX color is perfect for my skin tone. 2. The cushion formula itself feels more velvety when applied! It seems to offer higher coverage, but the finish is slightly thicker than before. However, it makes the skin look cleaner and more beautiful. 3. The cooling effect is stronger, and the scent is quite pleasant. 4. It feels less drying than the original Setting Fit, so the issue of dead skin cells around the nose area has greatly improved. 1. The original Mydro Setting Fit Cushion's strongest points were its longevity and how well it set on the skin. With this EX version, that 'adhering' feeling is gone, and after wearing it, my face feels irritated when I put on a mask. Even when I use my fingers to apply it, there's some irritation. While it's less drying than the original, its staying power has decreased as a result. 2. The 101 shade is lighter now, which works for me, but it might be too bright for those who were happy with the original 101. It has a pink base that feels like a 17-19 shade. The 201 shade has too much of a yellow base, making it look dull on my friend who uses 21. The 301 shade seems to have a slight orange tint added compared to the previous version. To summarize, compared to the original Setting Fit Cushion: 1. Longevity is down, but skin appearance is up 2. Adherence is down, but hydration is up 3. 101 shade is lighter, and there's a big gap between 101 and 201, leaving a lack of middle shade options 4. Causes irritation when wearing a mask and some breakdown (though less than the original Setting Fit) 5. Unlike the original Setting Fit Cushion, which adhered well and gave a thin skin-like finish even with multiple layers, the EX version doesn't perform the same Pro tip: Powder is a must, and use the right amount! Without a mask, longevity improves and there's less breakdown.
