It's slightly lighter, so after applying the base, I dab on a little extra with my fingers on areas like the nose, forehead, and cheekbones that need contouring. It's not as dewy as expected and has a more matte finish, so it sets well.
ConsMixing the matte formula with the more hydrating NARS products creates the perfect coverage. After cleansing, applying skincare, and doing my base makeup, my oily skin ends up with a nice, dewy and supple complexion. But when I use this product alone, it dries down quite matte and can feel a bit stiff as it wears. At first it looks nice and matte, but later the oil breaks through and it doesn't look as pretty.
TipFor those with brighter skin tones, this can work nicely as a subtle shading product. And for me, since this foundation is a touch too light, I like to use it in the center of my eye area when doing more intense eyeshadow looks. Just dab on a tiny bit and it acts as a luminous base, so I don't need to use a separate highlighter. Layering a pearly eyeshadow on top of that makes for a really beautiful, glowing eye effect.
