Many people mention the scent as a drawback, but I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances... yet I didn't find it particularly bothersome. You can think of it as having a similar scent to Bioderma Sensibio. The cleansing effectiveness is excellent, and it's the only product that doesn't cause blemishes for my super sensitive skin, so it's a precious item I can't do without. I didn't experience any eye irritation either - it's incredibly gentle. Some people mentioned it foams up during use. I also felt a slightly slippery sensation due to the foam... I heard this was great for sensitive skin, so I decided to give it a try. I'm absolutely thrilled with it and highly recommend it! I can't think of any downsides, to be honest. There's nothing I found disappointing about it. It's a good idea to buy an empty cleansing foam container and transfer the product into it for use.
