It's meant to be stored upright, but it's so thin that it spills immediately when you open the cap. You might be better off storing it horizontally.

I've been using this product from my dermatologist, and it's surprisingly a flowing gel-type with a thin consistency. When you roll it on bare skin, it removes dead skin cells. After rinsing with water, your skin feels incredibly smooth! It's different from traditional peeling gels, and it's fascinating how it exfoliates despite being so fluid.
