  Lipstick Review: Rom&nd Zero Matte Lipstick The color applies evenly without clumping, creating a thin and uniform layer It glides on smoothly, effectively filling in lip lines The pigmentation is vibrant and bold As it's a lipstick, it doesn't leave much of a stain There's some transfer and the staying power is average No notable scent (MOOD) 15 Midnight is a cool and deep shade that blends red and plum. It's highly recommended for winter cool deep/dark skin tones. You'll notice how it brightens up your complexion. It's a unique color that's hard to find among my tints, but similar shades include Rom&nd Zero Velvet Tint 21 Villain Best and Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint 17 Plum Coke. Villain Best leans more red, Midnight more plum, and Plum Coke sits somewhere in between. While browsing Rom&nd's website, I stumbled upon this unique color rarely seen in drugstores and immediately purchased it. The seductive wine color captivated me... It's perfect for daily wear for those with winter cool deep/dark skin tones. When I saw this color, I imagined it would make you look like a goddess on a snowy winter day. That's how truly charming this color is. I think it has won the hearts of many winter cool deep/dark skin tones, including myself. I hope they don't discontinue it! I'm 100% going to repurchase.

  Cons

  While it fills in lip lines well overall, upon closer inspection, the Midnight color doesn't perfectly cover fine lines. However, this can be resolved by smudging or applying multiple layers! As with most deep-colored lipsticks, there's a slight tendency for clumping. Also, being a lipstick formula, exfoliation before application is a must, and it tends to dry out over time, which is a bit of a drawback.

  Tip

  It's beautiful on its own, but if you find the color too bold, try applying Rom&nd Zero Matte Lipstick 10 Pink Sand as a base and use this color as an accent! The added pink undertone creates an even more alluring lip look.

  Pros

  I bought this thinking it was a plum-dark color, but it's more like a red-pink with just a drop of plum. My personal color is cool winter dark. I wish it were a bit darker. It's matte, but the adherence is great, so you can layer it multiple times without much clumping, which is nice. I think this would be the best color for those with cool winter true or deep tones.

  This lipstick tends to smear quite a bit on the cap and around the opening.
