ConsFeels slightly drying, the finish is a bit lacking in moisture If you must use it, it's a bit short on hydration^^

ConsI didn't realize this cream wouldn't suit me, so I used it too, but it left my skin feeling drier and more parched as it dried down. Now I've passed it on to a friend, and she, with her normal combination skin type, says it works well for her - it's calming and has a nice cooling effect. I wouldn't really recommend this if you have sensitive, pore-prone skin that's prone to flushing easily.

Application: Extremely smooth and soft. Despite its semi-transparent milky appearance, it spreads on the skin very smoothly and feels pleasant to apply. 2. Texture: Between a lotion and a cream 3. Fragrance: Almost unscented, barely any noticeable fragrance I had never tried any products from the Nightingale company before, but I applied for the Hwahae Trial Reviewer program for the Calming Gel and was selected to try it. I really liked it. I usually check the ingredients on Hwahae, but this week was quite busy, so I just went ahead and used the product. Not having high expectations might have contributed, but I was impressed by the unique texture that was different from other gels I've used. As shown in the photo, it has a semi-transparent milky appearance, and the application feels like a mix of a sorbet and a lotion. There was no stickiness after application. The only downside is that after absorption, there is an inevitable dryness, so I always followed up with a light cream. I couldn't fully test the calming effect (as my skin wasn't in an irritated state), but when I applied it after rubbing and reddening my skin, there was no stinging sensation, which was great. I haven't noticed any dramatic improvements yet, but it's been a reliable, trouble-free product that I reach for daily.
Cons- Despite its lightweight texture, the moisture level is lacking. Even after applying a rich cream on top, over time, there is a slightly drying feeling. The gel-like texture seems to be the reason for the dryness after absorption, so I had to apply a cream on top, but in the winter, it still felt a bit drying at times.
TipInitially, I applied the gel and immediately followed with a cream, but the drying feeling was still there. Then I tried applying the gel, letting it absorb first, and then applying the cream, and that helped reduce the drying sensation. So my advice would be to not rush and apply the cream right away, but to let the gel absorb for a few seconds first before adding the cream on top.

But I definitely feel less oiliness now. 👉 Reduced dryness My skin used to feel dry and tight after cleansing, but it has improved after using the product. It's not a drastic improvement, but it's a bit better. 👉 Lasting effect (It could be because I applied a generous amount and went out) When I apply it in the morning and go out, I can feel that the morning application is still there when I cleanse my face in the evening.
Cons👉 Itchiness, warmth At first, it felt soothing and calming when I applied it, but after some time, my skin felt warm (it could be because my skin was too dry). Also, after applying, my skin suddenly felt itchy, and when I gently scratched it, my skin became very red. ※ The itchiness went away after using it for about two days. 👉 Stickiness It seems to take some time to dry. This could also be because I applied a generous amount, but my hair kept sticking to my face. 👉 Breakouts To be honest, I used it during a period of hormonal changes, so I'm not sure, but I got about 3 cystic acne on my left cheek (the part I mentioned feeling itchy and scratched a bit).
Tip👉 Apply it as the last step in your skincare routine If you apply it first, the other skincare products you use afterward may not absorb as well. 👉 Apply generously While others found it a bit drying, I felt moisturized all day! +Gently pat it into your skin when applying. It seems to last longer this way. For those with combination oily skin like me, it might be worth trying if it suits your skin!
