As a Korean, my skin is quite pale and prone to sun allergies, so it tends to get very red and painful in the sun. With this sunscreen, my skin didn't get as red when exposed to sunlight, which I really liked. Out of all the sunscreens I've tried, this one and the La Roche-Posay sunscreen are the only ones that didn't make my skin turn red. I've tried a lot of Korean sunscreens, but they all made my skin get red and feel the stinging pain when exposed to sunlight... Even though they were all PA++++, I could tell they weren't all the same. I've also tried Japanese sunscreens, but the protection wasn't great.
ConsThe fragrance is really... ugh, it's so unpleasant. It has this artificial chemical smell. And after applying it, my skin feels irritated and warm. The reason I still prefer this product over La Roche-Posay is that the La Roche-Posay one needs to be reapplied every 2 hours, as its photostability is quite low. But the texture of the La Roche-Posay one is very oily. Reapplying it makes it feel really sticky. That's why I use this sunscreen. It has better photostability than La Roche-Posay, is water-resistant, and doesn't feel oily! So it's easy to reapply. But the smell of this sunscreen is the worst. There is definitely some irritation and warmth when applying it. + I really can't stand it. The more I use it long-term, the more irritated my skin gets.

You'll barely notice you've applied it after about 30 minutes! It's so light that it would make a great base for makeup. I think it would suit oily skin types better than dry skin types.
ConsFirst of all, the application is terrible. It's extremely matte, so you have to apply it in small amounts. And while Avène products are gentle, this one has poor application, so you have to keep touching your skin, which can be slightly irritating for a short while. The irritation doesn't last long, though. There's also a bit of a white cast.

It seems more suitable for spring and fall rather than summer (it might feel a bit drying in winter and too oily in summer).
ConsStrangely, when I use this product, my nose area feels a bit tight. I also felt some irritation around my lips. And when I used this sunscreen in July-August, it felt too oily. For my acne-prone skin, it was too greasy and made my skin feel sticky after application.
TipI found that applying this product with a cushion puff works better. It feels less oily and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

It feels like it gradually becomes more matte as you apply it. You may need to spread it quickly before it sets. The scent is also quite pleasant! The pump packaging is hygienic and convenient. I think I'll use this for my summer makeup routine.
ConsWhen I apply it, my face feels a bit tight and warm. Normally these types of products provide a cooling sensation, don't they? I'm concerned it may be irritating to my skin.
