As for its role as a base product, I'm not sure if it fully fulfills that purpose.
It may be valuable for those who just wear sunscreen and go about their day.

Wow, the formula is so pretty?! It's a beige pink opal pearl and it really clings to the skin! It has a super thin highlighter-like feel!

The radiance is great, but it would be nice if it had some whitening effects too, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

This is the thinnest and best adhering highlighter I own!

As with most Chantecaille products with a dropper-type dispenser,
the essence has a thick, creamy texture that tends to cling to the dropper and drip down the bottle neck.
Chantecaille could improve the design of the dropper cap on their products.

This is the best whitening essence I've used so far (SK2, Kiehl's, Chanel, etc.).
After applying it to my skin, it feels smooth and instantly absorbs. 
If you mix a few drops with other products (creams or foundations), it will give you an even more radiant complexion.
I highly recommend this whitening essence for quick results.

I mix the rose oil, elixir, and gold mask for my nighttime routine, and when I wake up the next morning, my skin looks radiant and well-cared for.

The price of Chantecaille is the issue. Other than the price and limited store availability, everything else is great.
And now they've even stopped using famous models, which is a bit disappointing. The prices might go up even further.

The product was just released this summer, so I wanted to try it out and write a review, but it's already October. I've known about Chantecaille since 2012 and their price range has been accessible, so I've been using their oils and rose water gold line. Earlier this year, I switched most of my skincare and makeup to Chantecaille.
The Elixir contains stem cells, gold, and pearl, and I can feel a subtle glow and radiance on my skin as soon as I apply it.
As I've continued using it, my skin texture has definitely brightened, and I used to get a lot of compliments on my skin in my 20s, but nowadays everyone asks me what I'm using.
