I've heard that saturating a cotton pad and wrapping it works well for some people... But it just doesn't seem to suit my skin. No matter what I try, nothing comes out...

I think I set my expectations too high for this product.
Ten minutes wasn't nearly enough time, and I didn't really feel like it was removing my blackheads or whiteheads.
I've seen other users recommend leaving it on for about 50 minutes.
However, even with a 50-minute application, it was too harsh for my skin and still didn't effectively remove blemishes. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic, but I found it rather underwhelming...

From Hwahae, I take the Cossom, split it in half, and thin it out. I then soak it and wrap it in a sheet. The instructions say to use it for 15 minutes, but I keep it on for about 40 minutes and then scrape it off with the device!! This allows me to experience the white, milky orgasm.

It was disappointing that the cotton was quickly used up after being thoroughly soaked, which was a shame.

From some point, my skin became sensitive to sebum and developed milia. From some point, stubborn sebum or milia-like bumps started appearing on my chin like crazy. The stubborn sebum couldn't be removed with cleansing oil, so I was considering going to a dermatologist, but then I tried using the Dissolve Essence I had bought and forgotten about before... Just using it once made a lot of the rough, uneven bumps go away!! It also effectively removes whiteheads on the nose!!!
I think this will be a product I'll use for life until my chin sebum is gone.

For a sebum softener, it's not overly harsh. Even with a short application time, it effectively softens sebum. Blackheads visibly surface, turning white. They can be easily removed with a cotton swab or gentle pressure, coming out of the pores without irritation. I used it for about 15 minutes and didn't experience any redness or tingling. The included nose cotton pads make it even more convenient to use.

I find that 20-30 minutes is the ideal duration, and it's best to use this method only once a week. For regular maintenance, opt for gentler sebum removal techniques. I recommend using thinner cotton pads than those provided by Sidmool for better results.

Once, in my eagerness to thoroughly remove sebum, I left it on for over 40 minutes. This not only removed sebum but also caused excessive swelling of dead skin cells, making the use of a pore extractor feel irritating.

✨ How to Use
The Dissolve Essence has a water-like texture. Saturate a cotton pad with it, place it on your nose for about 15 minutes, then remove the sebum. Pro tip: Cover the cotton pad with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out too quickly! After 15 minutes, you'll see visible white sebum that can be gently removed with a pore extractor.

However, since I have dry skin without much sebum on my nose and no blackheads, I couldn't really notice a significant difference. Still, I think it's probably better than not using anything at all, so I'm going to try to use it diligently!

When you first apply it, it feels a bit like a koala clinging to your skin. It also has a refreshing, cool sensation.

For those with severe blackheads, when you first use it, the blackheads might be too hard to come out easily. In that case, you can leave the cotton pad on for about 40 minutes - this product is gentle enough that it won't cause much irritation. After that, you'll find that practically all blackheads come out! However, if you have sensitive skin, please avoid this method!

While I don't have any complaints personally, due to the nature of sebum softeners, there might be some skin irritation. If you're trying it for the first time, it's best to do a patch test on a small area first! Also, the nose cotton pads that come with it are really great, but they run out quickly. It would be nice if they offered a larger quantity of these pads - that's probably the only minor drawback I can think of!

This Dissolve Essence is truly the best sebum softener I've used, which is why I've consistently gone through over 10 bottles! When I tried other brands' sebum softeners, my skin would get red and slightly itchy, so I thought they were irritating and avoided using them. But when I discovered Sidmool's Dissolve Essence, it was a eureka moment! Even when left on to soften sebum for a long time, there's no irritation and it feels gentle on the skin. My skin type is combination dehydrated, so I used to worry about excessive sebum production. Using the Dissolve Essence once a week gradually reduced my sebum production. Eventually, using it once every two weeks was enough to noticeably decrease blackheads and whiteheads. Now, I only need to use it once a month as the formation of blackheads and whiteheads has significantly slowed down. My skin feels much cleaner and more refined, and my makeup doesn't pill. It's truly my holy grail! As long as this product isn't discontinued, I'll genuinely use it for life. I always keep it stocked for my monthly routine. I highly recommend this product to anyone stressed about blackheads or whiteheads all over their face!

I've used this product about 3 times, and visibly, it definitely removed sebum from my nose after use. But I was curious about how much exactly was removed, so I compared using a hair loss management camera at home (check the photos, but beware - slightly gross 🙄). The first photo is before removal.

The level of removal isn't to the extent that all sebum is extracted or eliminated in one go. Personally, if I haven't done it for a while, I need to use it daily for 3-4 days before I feel it looks clean to the naked eye!

I didn't particularly find it so! When applied with a cotton pad and wiped off at the end, there's a slight feeling of irritation, but the exfoliating product itself seems to be on the gentler side.

While it's not an extremely highly recommended item, I've continued using it because it's reasonably priced and convenient for frequent use without any discomfort.

After removing the blackheads, your pores might look quite noticeable. To soothe and close the pores, I recommend applying a non-comedogenic product.

The cotton pads that come with it are ridiculously thick. The quality isn't great, and they absorb too much product, which is really wasteful. Just use your regular cotton pads at home - the thin ones that don't absorb too much! If you soak the included pads thoroughly, you'll go through the product so quickly... And there's not much in there to begin with.

It really pulls out those stubborn blackheads... You can achieve a smooth, clean nose! It effectively removes even the deep-seated blackheads that pore strips can't reach. It's not an instant fix - apply it and wait about 10 minutes, and those old blackheads will surface. After using this, follow up with a pore strip or use a blackhead extractor, then cleanse your face! It feels like the first step of that famous Ch*r* B**k blackhead melting pack, but that one's so expensive. This Sidmool product is much more budget-friendly since you can use it multiple times.
