I bought this after researching regenerative creams for my sensitive skin with dermatitis. It's gentle, absorbs well for a regenerative cream, and feels less rich than others. Unfortunately, it pills when applied before makeup. It seems best suited for nighttime use only, as it even pills in the morning when I wake up. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 22, 2020
Absorbs without feeling sticky, leaving skin moisturized. Glides on smoothly like water. It pills like dead skin cells. Not sure which ingredient is responsible, but a few hours after application, my cheeks turned red and my skin reacted badly. I'm not certain if it's because of this, but even after applying aloe gel to soothe it, it kept itching and feeling tight. It only calmed down a bit after I washed it off... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2020
I bought this from a dermatologist's office. It seems great for sensitive skin. It feels like it creates a thick protective layer on the skin. The color is quite dark, and it doesn't absorb well. I was surprised when it pilled up like dirt - there might be too much product. I wouldn't recommend applying makeup over it. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 10, 2018
1. It's wonderfully hydrating. So far, the moisturizing power has been more than sufficient. I'm not sure how it will perform when it gets colder and drier though. 2. My skin texture has noticeably improved. 1. When I apply makeup in the morning after using this, my foundation tends to pill and come off in little bits when I touch my face later in the day. 1. Apply a generous amount before bedtime. 2. Try to sleep on your back. Otherwise, it might smear all over your pillowcase. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 13, 2018
Don't you just hate it when you're tired and those pesky blemishes pop up around your nose or mouth? Well, here's a lifesaver! Just dab this on for 2-3 days, and like magic, they vanish! It's also fantastic for fading scars. As someone with super sensitive skin prone to redness, I don't use it all over, but for targeted treatments, it's a godsend. Especially for those stubborn scar marks - it's unbeatable! The product size is quite small. For effective scar removal, you need to apply it frequently, which can lead to pilling. If you're not careful and don't check in the mirror, you might end up with some embarrassing flakes on your face. If you're planning to apply it all over your face, it's best to do so in the evening before bed. Be aware that it might pill up like dead skin cells, so just keep an eye out for that. As long as you're mindful of this, I think it's an excellent product overall! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2017
I started using the product recommended to me after receiving treatment for acne and laser scar treatment at the dermatology clinic. While my forehead and T-zone are oily, my cheeks are dry, so I was a bit hesitant to apply it. However, to sum it up, it was an excellent product for regeneration and soothing. I recommend it. After visiting the dermatologist, my skin was irritated and tight, so I only applied a hydrating toner or essence, and finished with this cream. There was no itchiness or discomfort, and after using it for about three days, my reddened skin became more soothed, and I felt my skin regaining its balance. The Cicaplast Baume was too rich and heavy for me, and the gel absorbed slowly, so I only used it as a spot treatment. This product, however, has just the right texture - a bit thinner than a cream, but thicker than an essence. Overall, I'm very satisfied and plan to repurchase. However, I heard it's only available through the dermatologist or direct import. 1. You should be careful with the application amount! I recommend applying it at night rather than in the morning. If you apply too much or rub it in too much, it can kind of... peel off? At first, I thought it was because I had just gotten a scaling treatment, or maybe because I have a lot of dead skin, but when I used other moisturizing creams, I didn't have that issue. So it seems like applying too much at once is not a good idea with this product. Also, it has a tendency to "slide off", so I'd suggest avoiding using it in the morning and instead apply it before bed. 2. Those with oily skin should be cautious! It didn't make my skin overly oily, but I still only applied a small amount to my forehead, nose, sides of the nose, and chin areas. It does have a rich feel, so I'd recommend that oily-skinned people either avoid it or apply it very thinly. It might end up clogging pores and causing breakouts. 3. The moisturizing power is not extremely strong! The moisturizing ability is not super great. If you have very dry skin, or in the middle of winter, this alone might not provide enough hydration. It would be better to layer a more moisturizing cream on top, or apply this product in multiple thin layers. Ah I see, another user also mentioned that it's better to pat the product on rather than rub it in. Since it has a tendency to "slide off", patting it on gently is the way to go. Thanks for the additional tip! I'll make sure to apply it that way going forward. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 10, 2017
The product felt gentle during use and my skin had a slightly soothing sensation. It comes out quite thick and oily, so please be cautious... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 21, 2016
I purchased this cream because I had dark acne scars on my chin, and the results have been fantastic. Cicabio Pomade is easily available in Korea, while Cicabio Cream can only be purchased through dermatologists. I excluded the Pomade because it contains mineral oil. I had previously used Cicaplast Balm, but it was extremely oily and moisturizing, providing some soothing effects but no real regenerative benefits. It worked better for my skin than Avène, so I continued using it... But with Cicabio, I genuinely felt the dark scars on my chin fading! Honestly. (And due to the anti-inflammatory ingredients, it seems to soothe any existing acne as well, not just regenerate scars.) While the hassle of direct imports or visiting a dermatologist is there, I feel the regenerative effects are far superior to La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast or Avène's Cicalfate, so the extra effort is not a major issue. The cream's effects are great, but the texture is not ideal... And while the review below says it has excellent moisturizing properties, I'm not sure if I agree. (It could be because it's currently the middle of winter.) You may feel it's a bit drying if you're only using this cream in the winter. Also, when you apply it, the cream leaves a very sticky, gummy residue on your hands, almost like chewing gum. If you apply too much on your face, this gummy residue will also be pushed out. I'd recommend just applying a light layer on the scarred areas before makeup. You absolutely should not rub or massage this cream in. Even if you apply just a slightly thicker layer, the gummy residue will immediately get pushed out. The best way is to gently pat and dab it on. I'd recommend applying a thin layer only on the scarred areas before makeup. It's a shame that this gem is known only to me. It's not a perfect cream without any harmful ingredients, but if you're looking for a truly regenerative cream, I highly recommend this one. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 7, 2016
1. The price is very affordable (around 3,000 won for a 100ml tube in France) 2. It was prescribed by a French dermatologist for a burn from a motorcycle exhaust. This seems quite reliable. 3. It does have a soothing effect. It doesn't seem to be just for marketing purposes. 4. It's oily, but not excessively greasy where it smears all over your hands. It has an oil-blotted, powdery feel when you lightly brush it with the back of your hand. 1. If you apply a lotion on top of this, the lotion gets pushed away. Even regular lotions without any anti-sebum function get pushed away like a mask. 2. It gets very shiny (for someone with oily, acne-prone skin like myself). So if you use it alone, it pulls uncomfortably from within, and the oil secretion on the surface becomes severe. For people like me, I don't recommend using it alone. 3. The advantage mentioned in point 4 continues, but after about 3 hours, the oil returns... The powdery feel only lasts for a few hours. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2016
I purchased this product based on the recommendation from the dermatologist after a procedure. Certainly, my acne scars have been regenerating quickly and the discoloration has noticeably faded. I'm not sure if it's due to the procedure or the cream, but the regenerative power does seem faster than regular cosmetics. Although it's called a cream, it has a thin, smooth texture that glides on nicely. However, the price-to-volume ratio is not that great. It would last a long time for spot treatment, but for someone like me who applies it generously all over the face for post-procedure regeneration, the amount is a bit lacking. While it's moisturizing and has a thin texture, the lasting power is not that long, so I had to reapply every 2 hours. The biggest downside is that it has a severe tendency to slide off. It starts sliding off just a few minutes after application. And from the 3rd week of use, using this product alone caused reddish spots to appear on my neck. It was itchy, and I'm not sure why this started happening in the 3rd week, but because of this issue, I've switched to a different product for now. Do not apply this during the day at all due to the severe sliding issue. Even at night, you need to apply a generous amount of moisturizer on top to make the hydration last longer. Also, the dermatologist told me to apply it thickly, as a thin layer won't be effective. Acne scars regenerate quickly when applying this cream after extraction, but it can cause more breakouts if applied before extraction, so be cautious.
