This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. 1. User's skin condition: Combination dehydrated skin + small bumps + blemishes Due to the coronavirus and constant mask-wearing, the trapped carbon dioxide caused painful red pimples on my cheeks, chin, and where the mask sits. Luckily, I won this product in an event. My husband and I, who have similar skin types, both tried it. Now, let's dive into the product review! 2. Contents The package includes patches for pre-popped blemishes and patches for post-popped blemishes, with more of the former. Since I tend to fidget with my face, I personally needed more of the post-popped patches. 3. Design The pre-popped patches are circular, while the post-popped ones are square. I appreciate that the post-popped patches are larger, seemingly designed to protect the surrounding skin from exposure. 4. How to use Apply to clean, dry skin. Note: It won't stick if you apply emulsion first. 5. Review a. Pre-popped patches These are incredibly thin - my husband wore them for 2-3 days without realizing! They're nearly invisible, though they can't hide the redness of a blemish. You can even apply makeup over them, as long as you're careful not to get foundation or cushion around the edges.
b. Post-popped patches While they're excellent for keeping the area moist, they don't seem to do much for wound healing. Unlike some competitors' medicated patches that visibly reduce inflammation and heal wounds, these seem to focus solely on hydration. The strong adhesive keeps them in place, but it can also irritate non-wounded skin right after cleansing, causing temporary redness that fades after a few hours.
A notable feature is the thoughtful packaging - a ziplock bag for bulk storage and individual film wraps. Personally, I think just the ziplock would suffice, as I don't always carefully store used patches. Perhaps they could simplify by just adding identifiable text behind the transparent film for the yellow and red patches. I love how easy these are to use. While the pre-popped patches are all one size, the post-popped ones come in two square sizes, which is convenient. The hydrating effect is fantastic! Unlike some other products that fall off easily, these patches stay put stubbornly.
