I used to love another brand's AHA/BHA/PHA toner, but when it was discontinued, I decided to try this product while searching for a replacement. I use it every other day, applying it with a mesh pad to wipe my face. It's great for daily dead skin cell care. Since I have dry skin without much flakiness, this alone is enough to make my skin feel smooth and soft! It's not too rich, but it does a good job of addressing deep dryness as a first step. I also like to apply it to my lips, let it sit for a bit, then wipe it off with a cotton pad - it helps gently remove some of the dead skin there too. The burning sensation is likely due to the tea tree ingredient. Not all AHA/BHA/PHA products give this feeling, you know. I didn't check the ingredients carefully before buying, so when I first opened it and used it, the strong tea tree scent really surprised me! I'm not a big fan of tea tree, to be honest. As other reviewers mentioned, this burning sensation lasts quite a while. It doesn't feel like it's irritating my skin overall, but areas with blemishes definitely feel more intense. I'm hoping the tea tree will help calm my breakouts though... If you have sensitive skin around your eyes, you might want to avoid using it in that area. This product might be great for those who respond well to tea tree ingredients and for people with oily skin. - su********Normal SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2022
I tried a sample I received. Personally, I didn't find the scent unpleasant. It feels moisturizing and seems like it could be effective in controlling blemishes. Depending on your skin type, it might feel irritating. It's probably best used as a spot treatment, but I don't often use spot treatments myself... - hs********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 22, 2022
This skin toner has a cooling effect. It's best when applied with a cotton pad! There's absolutely no residue, and it really gives a refreshing cleanse. It doesn't cause blemishes and isn't particularly irritating. It was great for caring for blemishes and dead skin cells on the back of the neck, back, and chest area. I found it especially effective for body care. However, it didn't have any soothing effects or help with dead skin cells on the face. I tried using it like a mask by soaking a cotton pad, but it actually made my cheeks redder... I used it on the dry skin around my nose during winter, but it seemed to make the flakiness more noticeable. This product is a #peeling toner containing all three types of exfoliants: AHA, BHA, and PHA! The formula has a water-like consistency with absolutely no stickiness - it's a perfect liquid that runs down when applied, typical of a water toner. It's not tight on the skin, finishing with a moisturized and fresh feel. What I loved: - With three types of peeling ingredients, it effectively removes dead skin cells - Noticeably controls sebum and excess oil - Despite its exfoliating power, it's a hydrating toner that doesn't overly dry the skin - The water-based formula makes it an ideal exfoliating toner, perfect for acne-prone skin and summer use - Provides a cooling effect like applying peppermint or mint, leaving skin feeling refreshed (contains various extracts like kale, centella asiatica, tea tree leaf, and chicory root) If you're concerned about dead skin cells, sebum, pores, and looking for a daily peeling product that controls oil while keeping skin hydrated, this toner might be worth trying! Potential drawbacks: - The cooling sensation lasts for over 3 minutes, which might bother those with sensitive skin or who dislike such effects. The cooling effect might make it more suitable for summer use. - While the toner isn't particularly drying, as someone with sensitive and extremely dry skin, I noticed my skin texture became slightly drier with daily use. It seems using peeling ingredients every day might be too much for those with dry, sensitive skin like mine. Therefore: => Given that it contains three types of peeling ingredients, it could potentially be irritating. For sensitive or dry skin types, I recommend using it every other day or 4-5 times a week instead of daily use! For oily skin types, daily use could be really beneficial. It can effectively manage both sebum control and dead skin cell care! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2020
I usually pat it on, but two or three times a week I use it as an exfoliating toner. It seems great for removing dead skin cells. My skin feels instantly hydrated after use! At first, I thought my eyes were hurting from the tingling sensation, but after using it a couple of times, I guess I got used to it and now it doesn't bother me at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 28, 2020
A hydrating toner that moisturizes without any tightness. Its lightweight formula makes it perfect as an exfoliating toner too. The small volume means you have to buy it multiple times. Please make a larger size available. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2020
As soon as the weather turned dry, dead skin cells appeared on my T-zone, but just one swipe with this toner cleared it all up! It leaves a slightly cool sensation after use, which feels so refreshing. I was worried using an exfoliating toner daily might be too harsh, so I've been using it about three times a week. I bought it online, but I wish it was available in stores too. I've tried applying it both with my hands and with a cotton pad. It seems like using a cotton pad works better for removing dead skin cells. Just my impression! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2020
It's incredibly gentle. Sure, all toners are liquid and water-like, but you'll know the difference when you try this. The level of softness is in a league of its own. It's hard to put into words... just give it a try yourself. Nothing particularly negative. The volume might be small for those looking for larger sizes, but for someone like me who changes products frequently, overly large bottles often go untouched. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 5, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I bought this product on recommendation from my super oily-skinned friend. It feels light, so I used it a lot during summer. When I brought it home, my mom tried it a few times and said she loved how refreshing it felt. Looks like I'll have to buy another one for myself! There's nothing particularly bad about it, but if I had to pick something, maybe the price? Though even that isn't too burdensome if you buy it during a sale. - wl*****Dry SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I applied it with a cotton pad, wiping gently, and then patted it onto my palms. When you apply it, you'll immediately notice a strong tea tree scent. There's a slight tingling sensation, but it wasn't overly irritating. I have sensitive, dry skin with some small bumps on my forehead that suddenly appeared. It's not too harsh, and the tea tree scent isn't off-putting. Plus, it didn't cause any additional blemishes to appear. However, it didn't really help reduce existing blemishes either. I've heard exfoliation is good for small bumps, so I'm going to try using it more diligently. I've only been using it for two weeks, so I might not be seeing the full effects yet. If I notice improvements after finishing the bottle, I'll come back with an update. Overall, it seems like a pretty average toner. I learned that BHA helps dissolve sebum inside pores, so I gently wipe it on with a cotton pad to refine my skin texture, then pat a small amount onto my hands. Here's hoping it melts away that sebum deep in my pores~
