It's great because it's neither too light nor too heavy, and the hydration lasts for a long time. It might be a bit oily for those with oily skin. For evening use, a refreshing toner pad might be better. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2020
Effective at removing dead skin cells and nourishing, so it gently cleanses when wiping the skin. I thought it would be slippery or sticky due to its rich feel, but the finish is actually quite matte. The scent is very polarizing. The fragrance is strong and smells a bit like air freshener. You shouldn't think of it as similar to commonly used pads. It feels somewhat oily for those with oily skin due to its rich texture, but the finish isn't sticky. However, when using other skincare products after these pads, it can feel overly nourishing. Also, looking at the ingredient list, the components aren't particularly good. It works wonders for removing dead skin cells on the heels! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
As a winner of The Hwahae Testers, I'm writing this review after receiving the product. First off, when the package arrived and I opened it, the product packaging was incredibly luxurious! There was an inner seal that kept the solution from drying out, so I could use it while maintaining its moisture. Let me talk about the advantages: Dead skin cell removal - Honestly, I expected just a glowy, skin-like moisturizing pad, but it actually exfoliated! This made applying makeup a bit easier. Cooling effect - When using the pad, there was a strong mint scent and a noticeable cooling effect. This was satisfying for my skin that tends to get hot! Fundamentally, no matter how gently you use pads, they can irritate the skin. So those with sensitive or delicate skin might feel a tingling sensation or experience breakouts. That was me, haha... The disappointing aspects were: Glow - As it says 'Morning Glow', it does give a glow when used! The important thing is, for me, it wasn't a pretty dewy glow but more like an oily shine, and it felt greasy. So I always had to blot it with oil blotting sheets or tissues. Irritation? - After using this, my skin broke out... It might not be visible in photos, but small blemishes appeared, making my skin bumpy. I think either the ingredients didn't suit me or my skin was too irritated. When I stopped using it, my skin returned to normal in just two days. I recommend using it in the evening after cleansing, in the order of pad-toner-serum, rather than in the morning. The next day, makeup applies beautifully. Not recommended for those with sensitive or delicate skin. Instead of pads, I suggest using a cleansing oil that dissolves dead skin cells or visiting a dermatologist! (I plan to maintain my skin with cleansing oil regularly and visit a dermatologist once a month) - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, here's my personal review. First off, I loved how incredibly moisturizing and gentle these pads are, thanks to their generous essence content. The low friction on the skin meant I could use them morning and night without any irritation, and I didn't experience any blemishes throughout the usage period. The downsides are that the pads are on the smaller side, and the fragrance is a bit strong. Also, if you prefer a fresh finish, you might find the slightly slick, rich feeling left behind a bit bothersome. For a flawless makeup application, try placing the pads on areas prone to pilling before your skincare routine. After removing them, proceed with your base products. This technique seems to result in a smoother skin texture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 24, 2020
First off, my skin type is combination with blackheads. That's why I always use an oil cleanser and BHA pads in the evening, followed by ampoule application. I've been using Morning Glow in my morning routine, and it's perfect for a complete AM skincare regimen in one step. It works as a toner, essence, and even helps with dead skin cells. It's a real time-saver for busy mornings. The PHA ingredient gives a gentle warming sensation that lasts about 10 minutes, but it's not irritating at all. It leaves my skin hydrated and gives me that coveted Inner Glow. It's not an oily shine, but rather a deep, nourished radiance that seems to come from within. Some people with oily skin might find it a bit rich. And as everyone's skin reacts differently, there's a very slight stickiness, but it absorbs well when patted in, so I didn't find it uncomfortable. The warming sensation does last about 10 minutes, so those who are sensitive to that might want to avoid it. Since it's also an exfoliating pad, it's better to use it every 2-3 days rather than daily. On other days, use a regular toner, and then use this every couple of days to minimize skin irritation! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2020
My skin is combination dehydrated and sensitive, so I tend to have a lot of blemishes. I'm currently seeing a dermatologist, so my inflammatory acne has subsided, and I only have a few small bumps left. I was selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and tried this product, but honestly, there aren't many good points. If I had to pick something, I'd say the cooling effect is refreshing, and the pad format makes it convenient to use. 1. The scent is off-putting. As soon as you open the lid, there's a cool, minty fragrance that's quite divisive - I absolutely hate it. 2. While it feels cool at first due to the cooling effect, it starts to sting and burn as time passes. 3. I've used it three times, but I won't be using it anymore. My skin reacted badly - my face turned all red and I got a ton of new blemishes. 4. After wiping my skin, it feels like the product just sits on top. As someone with oily skin who hates excess oil, I prefer products that absorb quickly, but this one leaves a very rich residue. 5. I wish there was a little tweezer to pick up individual pads. Using fingers to separate them feels unhygienic, like I'm peeling off sesame leaves from a side dish. 6. In conclusion, I strongly discourage using this product. As I mentioned, I used it three times, but I won't be using it anymore. It might work for those with dry skin, but if you have combination dehydrated or super sensitive skin, absolutely avoid this.
