Since I gave a harsh review of the 3CE Blur Water Tint before, I wanted to balance it out with a positive review for this product. While I criticized the 3CE Blur Water Tint for its medicinal taste and terrible scent, this is the product I mentioned could still be tolerated among 3CE's lineup. Though the fragrance isn't great, it's bearable. There's a slight cinnamon note, but it's okay. As expected from the famous Daffodil shade, the color is beautiful and it absorbs well. Longevity isn't the best, as other reviews mention. It comes off quickly when eating. Still, if you reapply during breaks, it lasts decently. I think Peripera Ink the Velvet has a similar formula, but fragrance-wise, 3CE Daffodil is better. Peripera also had that medicinal scent I dislike. The absorption is also better with Daffodil than Peripera. If you're deciding between velvet tints, go for Peripera for longevity, but choose Daffodil if fragrance is your priority.
The longevity was slightly disappointing, but other aspects lived up to Daffodil's reputation - great color and absorbs well. I want to emphasize again that the 3CE Blur Water Tint has an unpleasant scent, so I strongly recommend testing the fragrance before purchasing. Even for Daffodil, if you dislike cinnamon scents, it's best to smell it first.
At Olive Young, you can test the fragrance by applying the tint to a test strip and smelling it outside. At LaLa Blah, you can apply it to the back of your hand and smell it outside. When buying tints, I highly recommend always testing the fragrance first.
