I've been using Nivea cream as a must-have item, and out of curiosity, I also purchased a product from its sister company, Artrix. This review will mainly focus on comparing it to Nivea cream. Many people use it as a hand cream. I've been using it as a facial cream as well, and I think it can be used all over the body. The second most abundant ingredient after water is glycerin. So it's not as firm as the blue Nivea tin, and it absorbs faster. I was able to purchase the 250ml size online for 2,500 won, excluding shipping, making it more cost-effective than Nivea cream. It's available in tube, pump, can, and large-volume versions, so you can purchase and use the one you want. The ingredients are somewhat similar to Nivea Soft Cream, but the texture and absorption are not significantly different. However, this product contains relatively less mineral oil, so the oily feel of the blue Nivea tin is less noticeable. I used to dislike ingredients that were considered bad, but nowadays, I think those ingredients are included for their benefits, so I focus more on the oil-water balance and the amount of each ingredient. Even though this product contains quite a few non-gentle ingredients, it didn't cause any trouble for me, and it well-balanced my oil and moisture levels. It's great to gently press a lentil-sized amount, rubbed between the palms, onto the face. Even though I have combination skin, it feels very refreshing and produces less sebum. However, there are a few downsides.
I dislike the fragrance of both Nivea creams and this product. While there are many reviews saying it's almost fragrance-free, I completely disagree. Although I dislike the scent of the blue Nivea tin cream, I still use it as a must-have item. However, the strong fragrance of this product makes me reluctant to repurchase it. The fragrance is very polarizing. Whenever I apply this product and then wash my hands, it feels slippery. Since I tend to wash my hands frequently, I end up using hand cream repeatedly, and the texture feels unpleasant each time. I don't experience the subtly cooling sensation that I feel when applying the blue Nivea tin.
There is a way to use rich moisturizing cosmetic products in a refreshing manner. Similar to the Nivea In-Shower body lotion series, you can apply the product after showering without toweling off, and then rinse it off with just water. While enduring the slippery sensation during the rinsing process, you'll end up with a non-greasy, yet moisturized and refreshed feeling after the shower. I've reconsidered purchasing the 250ml size for 2,500 won again!
