I've been using the Tony Moly Mochi Toner for about a week now! First off, I'm a high school student struggling with acne, blemishes, and oily skin. What I love about this toner is its lightweight texture that applies smoothly without feeling heavy, yet leaves a nice, firm feeling on the skin! I usually find it bothersome to use cotton pads, so I just pat the toner on directly. With other toners, this often led to dripping and mess, but this one stays put while still feeling light! This toner truly lives up to its name! Shortly after application, you can feel your skin becoming 'mochi-like'! It's amazing, and when you apply it to your cheeks, your skin feels as bouncy as sticky rice cakes! I initially tested it on the back of my hand and was blown away by how plump it made my skin feel. I couldn't wait to try it on my face! It absorbs well too. I usually layer my products in this order: mist, serum, toner, then cream, and this toner doesn't feel heavy at all! Other toners often felt a bit suffocating and heavy, which made me reluctant to use them regularly. I've tossed out quite a few for that reason, but I can see myself reaching for this one often. The bottle is huge! I've never seen such a large toner before. It's almost intimidatingly big... I was genuinely shocked when it arrived. Talk about value for money! The scent is reminiscent of pine trees! It's incredibly refreshing. I'm usually quite sensitive to fragrances and struggle with artificial scents, but the Mochi Toner's fragrance is clean and invigorating! The scent alone gives off a 'I'm going to apply lightly!' vibe!
Firstly, it's a bit on the rich side. As someone who usually deals with oily skin and prefers completely oil-free toners (especially since I layer mist, serum, toner, and cream), I'd say this product is about a 3-4 out of 5 on the richness scale. I'd love to see an oil-free version released - I'd be first in line! Also, I have severe acne. I've been battling with it for about 5 years now, to the point where acne feels like an old friend. After using this, I noticed a few new blemishes popping up... I suspect it might be due to the product's richness. It's really too big. When a product is this large, it's not only hard to store, but I also believe in switching up skincare products regularly. This bottle seems like it would last for 5 years! Please release a version that's about half this size. Lastly, using it as a toner pack... turns out to be quite a hassle.
Pro tip: Try using it slightly chilled for a cool, lightweight, and firming application that feels amazing! Also, instead of just patting it on, I recommend using it as a toner pack with a cotton pad for better results. I suggest focusing the application on your cheek area rather than under the eyes for best results!
