Best feature: Its pH of 5.5 makes it slightly acidic. Maintaining skin pH is crucial, and while many cleansing products on the market are mildly acidic, it's rare to find a toner with this pH level. The pH of skincare products that stay on the skin longer, like toners, is more important than that of cleansing foams. This was my first time trying a vegan cosmetic product, and it seems great for preventing allergic reactions. It's a innovative approach in the beauty industry, making it an excellent option for vegans. • Absorbs: It's not completely water-like; it has a slight viscosity that allows for smooth application. • Absorbs well: True to its name, it's closer to a light essence texture, so it absorbs slower than watery toners. However, it doesn't sit on top of the skin, so there's no pilling. • Hydration: It functions surprisingly well as an essence. The moisturizing effect lasts long. For those who follow a toner > essence > cream routine before makeup, you could skip the separate essence step and just use this product as your toner for sufficient hydration. • Recommended skin types: It suits all skin types well. If I had to choose, it's particularly good for combination dehydrated skin or dry skin. This is because the formula provides ample hydration without feeling heavy.
Main drawback: As it's a basic hydrating toner, it falls short compared to more functional toners. It's ideal for those looking for just a simple, basic toner. • Blemishes: I have naturally sensitive skin that tends to break out quickly when changing products. Fortunately, during the testing period, only one or two blemishes appeared, and after a week, my skin adapted and they quickly subsided. • Not recommended for: It's a basic skincare product that suits most skin types well. If I had to choose, I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin in summer as it might feel a bit heavy. If used, it's best during winter or seasonal changes when extra hydration is needed.
In the morning, it's sufficient to apply just this before your emulsion or cream. At night, you can mix in a drop of facial oil for even more lasting hydration. (Note: Oil mixing is not recommended for oily skin types) If the product seems to absorb slowly or sit on the skin, gently massaging with a rolling motion can help.
