There are no cons! None at all! The only downside is that Merzy seems to have lost its presence in the market lately, which is a shame.

I discovered this product on my sister's vanity... It's truly amazing! I have very oily skin, but this doesn't smudge at all. It applies smoothly and doesn't need sharpening. I haven't seen the Merzy brand in a while, but now I feel like I need to check them out again!

I'm writing this review based on my personal purchase and use of the product.

It's great for filling in the skin around the eyes and along the lash line.
It stays put and doesn't smudge easily, lasting for a long time.
You'll need to use a makeup remover to take it off completely!

The pencil is quite thick, so it's not easy to create a sharp, sleek line in one go. Also, the built-in sharpener tends to get clogged with eyeliner residue, making it difficult to maintain.

I can see why Merzy is known for their eyeliners. It glides on smoothly, has great color payoff, and the staying power is impressive - I've never experienced smudging. I love that it has a built-in sharpener, which keeps the tip always pointed for precise application.

It tends to set quickly, so you need to blend it swiftly. I found that using a dedicated makeup remover was more effective for cleansing it off completely.

It absorbs smoothly while staying put without smudging for a long time, which is crucial, and I was quite satisfied in that regard. The creamy texture allowed me to apply it easily around the eyes without irritation, and I loved that I could create delicate lines using a brush.

It's a shame it's so thick. Difficult for detailed work.

It doesn't smudge at all, the color is beautiful, 
and it applies smoothly.
I was worried about it being oily and smearing, 
but there's seriously no smudging at all.

Your best bet is to just buy the slim gel eyeliner from the start. But if you didn't, there are these super thin cotton swabs called 'toothpick swabs'. Since the pencil is thick, you'll definitely need to touch up, and these make it easier. 
I've never had issues with it setting too quickly to fix, maybe because the tip is so sharp.

The pencil is way too thick. Even after sharpening, it still feels chunky. And because it's gel, it's different from sharpening a regular pencil - the sharpener gets all gunked up with gel that won't come off, making a mess.

I originally loved Merge's brush pen and slim gel eyeliner, so I decided to try this product too. But now I understand why they came out with the slim gel eyeliner...

The biggest advantage, true to Merge products, is that once it sets, it lasts a long time. Even with a light application, if you prep well with eyeshadow and base, it stays put all day long.
I also like that although the pencil is thick and blunt, you can sharpen it for use.

As many other reviews mentioned, it can be a bit thick, which is great for filling in the waterline but not ideal for creating a sharp wing. You might need to refine the shape with your fingernail. Despite this minor drawback, I'll likely repurchase due to its many advantages.

1. Absorbs well
I used to prefer brush-pen eyeliners because I thought pencil liners didn't apply smoothly. But this product glides on so effortlessly, I barely feel it! The application is incredibly smooth, which has shaved at least a minute off my morning makeup routine.

The price is reasonable for the quality, and it's even better with Olive Young sales and frequent buy-one-get-one-free offers.

3. Long-lasting
My eyelids are oily, so I always avoided pencil liners. But when my flight attendant friend recommended this, saying it stays put even during 14-hour flights, I decided to try it. While it may not be 100% smudge-proof given my eye type, it's the most long-lasting pencil liner I've ever used. It maintains its crisp look all day long. Some liquid liners I've tried in the past would flake and end up under my eyes, or pencil liners would disappear on one side, but I've never had these issues with this product, even as I'm nearly finished with it.

The quantity seems a bit small, but I guess it's reasonable for this price? Also, it's on the thicker side, so it's challenging to create delicate expressions.

It's incredibly easy to draw with! Highly recommended for beginners. The colors are beautiful, and even if you layer them, it doesn't look strange. So even if you're not great at drawing, you can keep layering and still create something nice.

I bought in bulk because I dislike shopping frequently, but the product dried out. So I recommend buying only 1-2 as needed, rather than stockpiling! Just a friendly tip.

No downsides to mention.

I have very smudge-prone eyes, and sure enough, this smudged right away. While it's affordable, I don't think I'll be using it again...

The color payoff is truly excellent. Although it has some shimmer, it's still suitable for everyday wear.

Apart from its longevity, there's not much to praise about this product. As you use it, the tip becomes blunt, so you need to sharpen it with a sharpener. However, it's too soft, so it quickly becomes blunt again. I don't draw the tail of my brow with it, only up to just before the tail. Also, there's some excess powder. Around afternoon, it starts to flake off a bit, sometimes getting into my eyes and causing a tingling sensation.

It doesn't smudge under the eyes, and the staying power is truly outstanding. The makeup I apply in the morning lasts until night. I think this advantage is good enough to outweigh all its drawbacks.
