Deep undertone, shade 21-22. Round face with chubby cheeks. Skin concerns: blackheads, whiteheads, atopic dermatitis, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation. Eyes: Monolids with excess fat. Skin type: Super sensitive. Combination skin with dry U-zone and oily T-zone. This emulsion has a balanced moisture content, making it suitable for year-round use. Its hydration level is on point - you could even get away with using just this product. It's gentle enough for my extremely sensitive skin, causing no tingling sensation. The fresh forest-like scent of both the toner and emulsion is delightful, reminiscent of a mild, baby-friendly fragrance. I'm a big fan of the scent.
The absorption rate is disappointingly low. Unlike The Green Tea Toner, which feels refreshing and absorbs quickly, this product requires constant patting to be absorbed. I didn't notice any significant effects from this emulsion, unlike the toner which visibly improved my skin. This just provides moisture without any other benefits. Perhaps the toner's effectiveness has set my expectations too high?
If you're considering purchasing this product for its effects, I'd recommend buying the toner alone or both the toner and emulsion together. While the emulsion might have some subtle benefits (they're advertising it, after all), it's not as effective as the toner. This doesn't mean I dislike the product or that it's bad - it's still good (except for the absorption issue).
