There's not much to praise... However, it's commendable that they transparently disclosed the type of AHA used and its concentration. I tried this product with high hopes, being my first experience with AHA ingredients. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming. Despite having resilient skin, I experienced a stinging sensation. In my opinion, BHA products are far more effective. - km*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 26, 2023
This was my first AHA product. At the time, I was really into chemical exfoliation and often used AHAs and BHAs. But to be honest, now I mostly stick to gentle chemical methods or physical exfoliation. When I used this product, it immediately removed dead skin cells and gave my skin a nice glow, so the instant results were impressive. I still use it occasionally, especially the night before important events, and I'm satisfied with the quick effects. However, I'd actually recommend a less irritating physical method for most people. This product was a bit too strong for me. My skin often felt hot and sometimes even painful. - gp****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2023
I'm still using it. It doesn't cause blemishes, but I only use it on my nose occasionally when exfoliating dead skin cells. My skin is too dry overall, so I don't apply it to my entire face anymore. However, when I used to get frequent breakouts, I would use it often. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but it doesn't seem to do much for my skin anymore. Since I have dry skin... My issue isn't acne, but rather inflammation, and unfortunately this product doesn't solve that problem. - ya*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 16, 2023
I don't usually use scrubs or peeling products, so I bought this for dead skin cell removal! I don't use exfoliating toners or cotton pads, so I just pat it in with my hands to help it absorb well. I use it only at night before bed, every 2-3 days. While results may vary, it's been incredibly effective for improving my skin. This product has become an essential part of my routine, helping me regain my former complexion after struggling with blemishes. Occasionally, when my skin is super sensitive, it might tingle a bit, but it doesn't cause any breakouts! If I had to nitpick, the scent isn't the best. But I don't mind it! I recommend avoiding this if you have any open wounds on your face! It's not a daily-use product, so be sure to keep track of how often you're using it! - gk*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsAug 7, 2022
The pump dispenser made it convenient to apply on cotton pads. I also appreciate that Sidmool doesn't conduct animal testing! I bought this product along with Sidmool's sulfur pack, as I heard AHA is better than BHA for whiteheads. For the sake of public interest, let me say... you're better off buying The Ordinary instead! While it's marketed as a 10% AHA toner, which sounds potent, it's not as strong as you might expect. Regarding its exfoliating effectiveness, which is crucial, this toner contains 5% glycolic acid + 5% lactic acid. However, lactic acid is much weaker at exfoliation compared to glycolic acid. As a result, a toner made purely with glycolic acid (like the one The Ordinary sells) is actually more effective at removing dead skin cells. I was curious how it would compare to BHA, and based on my extremely oily skin, it doesn't even come close to Stridex in the green box. Stridex can make my skin feel a bit heated if used daily, but I don't feel much of anything with Sidmool's AHA toner, no matter how often I use it. Stridex green box >>>>> Sidmool AHA toner The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% >>> Sidmool AHA toner However, being an AHA product, it does sting quite a bit if it touches popped blemishes or wounds. So some might perceive it as harsh... But here's the kicker - it's 16,800 won for 150ml? The Ordinary sells their 7% Glycolic Acid 240ml for 11,900 won. If you're looking to try an AHA toner for the first time or want to start with a milder concentration, this product might be okay. But if you have a lot of dead skin cells and excess oil, and need something stronger for effective exfoliation? Then start with The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid 7%. Both are only sold online anyway, so you might as well go for The Ordinary - it's cheaper and more effective! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 22, 2021
Among BHA/AHA products, this brand's offering is the gentlest and best. It's great for occasional use, though sensitive skin types might find it a bit strong if used too often. I use it from time to time myself. It's good for occasional use, but frequent application might irritate the skin. Those with delicate complexions should be cautious. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 31, 2021
When you feel your skin needs a refresh, saturate a cotton pad with this toner and sweep it across your face. It leaves your skin feeling clean and renewed. I've used many AHA and BHA products and I'm used to the tingling sensation they often have. Oddly enough, with this product, the tingling feels uncomfortable, so I only use it occasionally. Also, while the scent isn't objectively bad, it's less appealing compared to other AHA products I've tried. - pk****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 3, 2021
As an AHA product, it's crucial to wait at least 10 minutes after application before using other skincare items. You'll feel your skin become as smooth as a baby's! Here's my personal routine: I use it every 2-3 days since AHA helps shorten the skin turnover cycle. I soak a cotton pad generously and use it as an exfoliating toner, then wait 10 minutes (this allows the AHA to penetrate the skin properly), before continuing with my skincare routine starting from toner. At first, you might think, 'Why does this sting so much?' But with consistent use, the tingling sensation lessens, and your skin gradually becomes softer. Knowing the correct usage makes it even more effective! There's nothing to complain about! It's fantastic. Thank you, Sidmool! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2021
I bought this for my 'plump skin' routine and used it twice a week for 2 months. Now I'm using it once a week for about a month. In total, I've been using it for 3 months, and since it's not a daily product, I've only used about 1/4 of it so far. Though it's recommended to use it up within 6 months after opening, my skin is quite sensitive to exfoliating toners, so I can't use large amounts at once. Since I can't go to public baths often due to the pandemic, I'm using it up by spraying it on my body before showering. I wouldn't recommend buying this solely for dead skin cell management, as it's not advantageous in terms of skin stress or price. Final verdict: Unless a smaller size is released, I won't repurchase. As it's a product that's difficult to use frequently, I wish it was available in a smaller size. For best results in achieving plump skin, apply this product, wait about 20 minutes, then use a wash-off pack, and finish with a sheet mask. This is the full 'plump skin' routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2021
When my face feels like it's about to break out with dead skin cells and blemishes, I occasionally use this and it makes my skin feel silky smooth For me, it was too harsh to use daily. It's better to use it occasionally
