Greetings! Only four days left until 2021... And this pesky coronavirus still doesn't seem to be going away. By the way, I'm trying to write more formally from now on, so I hope that's alright. Today's review is for a product I've been using for a while but just realized I haven't reviewed yet - the Vanilla Boutique hand cream in the 'Rain Perfume' scent! I've heard this brand is famous for their fragrances, but I haven't tried them myself, so I'm not sure. Now, let's dive into a detailed review! Reviewer's Preferences: - Dislikes sweet or spicy fragrances, 'dad' colognes, and alcohol scents - Loves woody, light floral, fabric, grapefruit, and rose scents - Generally likes unisex fragrances - Continuously edits reviews if unsatisfied Product Information and Features: - Unisex, unique, and subtle fragrance - Described as 'a fresh scent that cleanly captures the moist and refreshing feel of a rainy day' - Lavender and citrus notes - Regular price is 6,000 won for 50ml, discounted to 4,900 won (great value!) What I Loved: The Scent: To describe it in detail, it's like burying a bunch of intensely fragrant flowers under a rain-soaked lawn (what does that even mean?). It's somehow both fresh and earthy. It truly captures the scent of a grassy field after rain, making it unique and uncommon. It could also be the scent you'd expect from luxury hotel bedding! That's probably why they say it has lavender and citrus notes, though I wouldn't have guessed lavender before reading that. If you have similar fragrance preferences to what I mentioned earlier, you'll probably love this! I absolutely adore it. Moisturizing Power: While not exceptionally moisturizing, it's decent - I'd say above average. After it's fully absorbed, your skin feels soft and smooth. I tend to have sweaty hands, so I'm not particularly dry. Those with very dry hands might find it not moisturizing enough. Keep that in mind! Absorption/Finish: It absorbs in less than 10 seconds with just a quick application! I personally dislike hand creams that are too sticky or greasy, but this one isn't like that at all. It leaves your hands feeling soft and fresh. Longevity: It lasts about 2 hours, which is pretty standard for hand creams. Neither a pro nor a con, I'd say.
Drawbacks: There aren't any!
Overall Impression: It's an affordable hand cream with a fantastic scent, perfect for frequent, liberal use! I'm considering trying other scents from the same line, but I'm not sure which one to choose yet. That concludes my review! I'd be thrilled if you found this helpful. If you have any questions, please leave a comment! I'll respond promptly.
