I tried a Some By Mi product for the first time, and as a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm here to give you my honest review. ▪ Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with excess oil ▪ Skin concerns: Oiliness, enlarged pores, occasional small blemishes, and redness on the cheeks ▪ Texture: Being an exfoliating toner, I was worried it might cause irritation, but I didn't experience any stinging or redness. It feels cool and refreshing when applied, leaving a light finish. ▪ Effectiveness: With AHA, BHA, and PHA all included, I expected some short-term improvements in dead skin cells and texture refinement. However, the results weren't as dramatic as I had hoped. I suspect they may have formulated it to be gentler than typical AHA/BHA/PHA products. ▪ Satisfaction: While I'm satisfied with the overall experience, I find the effectiveness somewhat lacking compared to other exfoliating products I've tried.
Despite containing AHA, BHA, and PHA for exfoliation, I'm not sure if it's particularly effective. It seems gentler compared to other brands' exfoliating products, which might explain it, but given the expectations for AHA/BHA/PHA, this aspect is a bit disappointing. It might be suitable as a daily toner, though.
For areas that need extra exfoliation, I found it more effective to soak a cotton pad generously with the product, leave it on the skin for a short while, and then spread it out.
