This is a review from The Hwahae Testers :D As September rolled in, it quickly got chilly, making me wonder where the hot summer went. I felt a slight tightness when using this red bean mask. I have combination dehydrated skin and experience quite a bit of deep dryness during seasonal changes and winter. Because of this, I think this red bean mask would have been even better on a scorching summer day. Still, after washing it off, my skin felt smooth, and I had a sense that my complexion had brightened a bit.
Being a red bean mask, the particles are surprisingly large... If you have super sensitive skin, you might find the granules a bit irritating. I felt it was quite rough, so I tried mixing it with a small amount of water before applying to spread it more gently. The scent might be hit or miss for some, but I didn't find it particularly unpleasant. However, I think it would have been nice if it had a more savory red bean aroma. While I got to try this as a Hwahae Tester winner, I probably wouldn't purchase it with my own money. Even for light summer use, the granules made it... well... uncomfortable.
As mentioned above, mixing in a bit of water made the granules less noticeable when applying. Also, after using it, a lot of product gets left around the sink. Wiping this residue on the basin gives it a bit of a glow, like an impromptu cleaning. Oh! And just in case, since the particles are large, I tried applying it to areas prone to dryness like elbows and heels instead of the face. After leaving it on for a few minutes and washing it off, those areas did feel softer.
