Let's dive into a review of Benefit's 'Benetint'! Color: Benetint's color is best described as a rose pink. As someone who personally loves lip products with rosy hues, I'm quite fond of Benetint's shade. The color builds up gradually, making it easy to control the intensity. Natural Look: When applied with light makeup or on bare skin, it adds a lively touch without looking out of place - it's incredibly natural. For students like me, especially those who want something between bare-faced and full makeup for school, I highly recommend this! It truly gives a natural, vibrant look. Easy Cheek Application: I prefer using lip products for my cheeks to match my lip color, rather than buying separate blushes. Usually, matte lip crayons or lipsticks don't blend well and can look patchy, while regular tints can stain too quickly and intensely. But this watery tint texture makes it easy to apply on cheeks without the risk of looking like a blushing sweet potato! Longevity: The staying power is impressive. It doesn't come off even after eating and lasts surprisingly long. With proper application, it could easily last a whole day. Packaging: I personally prefer simple packaging where you can easily see the lip color. The white cap and transparent container make it both simple and convenient to check the shade, which I appreciate.
Price: As expected from Benefit, the price is quite steep for a student's budget. At 45,000 won, I'm not sure if I could afford to repurchase it multiple times. Quantity: At first glance, it seems like you get a lot of product! The chubby case might be deceiving, but I initially thought, 'Wow, that's a lot!' However, being a water tint, it gets used up surprisingly quickly. It's truly astonishing how fast it goes, especially since its natural look encourages layering. I guess that's why it seems expensive - you use it up faster than you'd expect! Color Payoff: While I mentioned its natural look as a plus point (and I do prefer a natural look), it might be a bit too subtle for some. You often need to apply 3-4 layers to get a noticeable color payoff.
This works great on its own, but using it as a base under other lip products is fantastic. Its long-lasting formula helps your overall lip makeup stay put for longer! It's absolutely gorgeous as a blush! I strongly recommend trying it this way! It might feel a tad drying, so I suggest applying lip balm after the tint (applying balm first can make the tint mix unevenly). First photo: Color swatch (It appears lighter due to the lighting, but it's actually a bit more red than shown) Second photo: Swatch on back of hand Third photo: Smudged swatch on back of hand (This shows the color most accurately! Imagine this shade on your lips)
