I've been a shampoo nomad for so long, but this one is amazing! It leaves my hair feeling refreshed after washing, and it makes my hair so soft that I don't even need to use a separate treatment. It's absolutely wonderful! The only downside is that it leaves my hair feeling slightly oily after washing, which makes me hesitant about purchasing it again. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 21, 2023
This is my second purchase already! When I first bought and used it, I was a bit unsure, so I decided to give it another try. My scalp is oily, sensitive, and prone to hair loss. Usually, even if a product claims to be effective, I get blemishes if the ingredients don't suit me. However, this shampoo didn't cause any irritation at all! I think I'll keep using it year-round, except during the peak of summer. Since I have an oily scalp, removing excess oil is crucial for me. While this shampoo has great ingredients, it doesn't seem to be very effective at controlling oil. After washing and drying my hair, it feels like the oil hasn't been fully removed. Also, being fragrance-free is good for the ingredients, but it doesn't seem to help much with controlling hair odor. That's why I keep both this shampoo and another one that's good at controlling oil on hand. I use this one every three days. Constantly removing oil can dry out the scalp and cause more hair loss, but I can't stand the greasy, uncomfortable feeling if I don't control the oil at all. You might want to try alternating shampoos based on your scalp condition each day, like I do. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2023
*For oily scalp: 1. The ingredients are good. 2. The fragrance was pleasant. 3. It didn't leave my hair feeling stiff. 1. Oil tends to build up over time. While the cleansing effectiveness wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly great for my oily scalp. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2023
First off, the scent is refreshingly pleasant. I've been using it without any blemishes appearing. With my neutral scalp and hair type, I didn't experience any oiliness or dryness after shampooing. However, it seems like oil builds up a bit quickly, so it might not be suitable for those with oily scalps. Above all, I'm disappointed that the consistency is too thin. It would be better if it had a richer texture like regular shampoos. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 7, 2023
For oily scalps with flaking and dryness, occasionally dealing with seborrheic dermatitis. Unlike other shampoos, I really appreciated the gentle ingredients in this one. The shampoo was surprisingly thin, which caught me off guard at first, but using it with a foaming dispenser made it much more convenient! The scent might be a bit divisive. Due to its thin consistency, it's best to lather it first in your palms, then again on your scalp for better results. The cleansing effectiveness is a bit lacking, which I'll explain below. However, it may vary depending on your scalp type. For those who respond well to mildly acidic cleansing foams, this could be an excellent, non-irritating shampoo option! If my scalp is anything like my skin, I'd say I have combination type - it's dry but produces oil easily, and tends to develop flakes if I block the scalp. As a test before using it as shampoo, I tried it as hand soap, and it felt somewhat slippery. I ignored this and continued using it, but my scalp flaking got worse... forming in clumps. My mom and brother, who also used it, reported the same issue... I don't think we'll be able to use it long-term, unfortunately. You can buy a foaming dispenser for about $2, and using the shampoo with it greatly improves the application experience, given how thin the product is! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2023
The cleansing effectiveness and lather aren't as strong as regular shampoos, but for a gentle formula, it's pretty decent. I used up the whole bottle, and as someone with an oily scalp, I noticed oil buildup happened faster compared to regular shampoos. After washing at night, I'd start to notice a slight scalp odor around 3 PM the next day. I'd recommend this for those with dry scalps. I wouldn't recommend this for people with oily scalps. Oil builds up quickly and scalp odor becomes noticeable soon after. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2023
I really enjoyed the pleasant herbal scent that spreads when using this product. The case is also quite pretty, which is a nice touch. Personally, I don't think I'll repurchase this product. It's been the most disappointing item from the Witch's Pouch line for me. The lather is poor, and it's too runny, causing it to drip everywhere. This means you end up using a lot more product each time. Compared to other shampoos, it's not particularly cost-effective for the amount you get. When I wash my hair with this shampoo in the morning, I notice my scalp getting oily by the afternoon. As for its effectiveness, well, I'm not convinced. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2023
It felt gentle and made my hair feel softer. I didn't even need to use a conditioner. It was too watery, so I ended up wasting a lot. Also, it seemed to make my hair get oily faster. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 14, 2023
I haven't used it in summer yet, but the scent seems like it would repel mosquitoes Cleansing effectiveness: Surprisingly ineffective... My hair feels greasy just after one day. Even after washing, it doesn't feel clean at all. Fragrance: The scent is too reminiscent of mosquito repellent, which isn't very appealing. Lather: The foam is really weak and runny. The formula itself is so liquid that it slips through your fingers before you can apply it to your hair. Maybe I should pump it directly onto my head? Value for money: I initially thought the quantity was generous for the price, but I need to pump it 4-5 times per use, whereas with other products I only needed 2-3 pumps. So in the end, you use more product, making it less economical. Irritation: While this product seems gentle, either due to its poor cleansing or incompatibility with my skin, it makes me incredibly itchy. I thought I wasn't rinsing properly, but the itchiness disappeared when I switched to a different product. After loving other products from this brand, I had high hopes, but I'm extremely disappointed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2022
The scent is wonderfully fresh and pleasant. On the day I wash my hair, it feels like my scalp is thoroughly cleansed, which is great. I wouldn't recommend this for oily scalps. By the morning after washing, there's a slight oily feeling that develops.
