Because my skin is dry, even with a thorough skincare routine, it would crack and flake in winter. So I prioritized finding a moisturizing cushion over coverage. Then, while browsing Olive Y* and watching YouTube videos, I discovered the Jung Saem Mool brand. Since it was an unfamiliar brand, I went to the Jung Saem Mool Beauty flagship store for a product test. It seemed to suit me well, so I purchased it. I've been using it for over two years now, buying refills and puffs separately, and I'm extremely satisfied. It's incredibly hydrating, and while the coverage isn't the highest due to its nature, it conceals most blemishes well, which I love.
ConsDrawbacks: Being a moisturizing cushion, it does transfer onto masks when worn, and the lower coverage is a bit disappointing. Also, if you're switching from other cushions, this one might feel a bit dark, so I wouldn't recommend it for those wanting a bright complexion. The price is also slightly higher compared to other Jung Saem Mool products, which makes me hesitant to purchase it without a second thought. If you're planning to buy it, it might be best to do so through Hwahae when they have discounts.
TipThose with extremely dry skin might still find this cushion drying despite its moisturizing properties! To minimize tightness, apply your skincare products thoroughly in order before applying makeup.

(My skin is dry with lots of dead skin cells and visible pores.) Being created by a makeup artist, the product feels sturdy when opening and closing, which is reassuring. I love that it comes with a skin-like palette, allowing for easy control of the amount and mixing with other products. The makeup applies moisturizing and gives a clear, bright coverage. It made my complexion look radiant in the spring weather, which really lifted my mood.
ConsGiven its moisturizing formula, it does transfer a bit and the longevity could be better. However, since I've never experienced amazing staying power even with matte formulas, this isn't a major issue for me.
Tip- After applying your makeup, gently pat the cushion over your face for better adherence. - While it's quite hydrating, it also provides good coverage, so I recommend applying a thin layer with just a small amount of product.

I have faint sun spots and quite large pores on my nose and cheeks. When I apply a small amount on the puff, dab it on the back of the lid, and then spread it thinly, my skin truly looks amazing. People even say my skin looks bright, clear, and translucent... though it's definitely not that good in reality! It covers light blemishes and pores completely. I've been using it for two months and haven't had any blemishes on my face.
ConsWhen wearing a mask and sweating, you can see white marks where sweat beaded up in each pore. I don't touch up my makeup, so sometimes when I take off my mask after a full day of work, I'm shocked. It does transfer to the mask. Despite this, I would repurchase. Though I'll have to reconsider for summer use.
TipIf you apply it thinly and evenly in small amounts, it looks really beautiful. Just dot a tiny amount on the puff, dab it on the back of the lid, then gently pat it onto your face in a thin layer. Don't pat too hard, just lightly tap-tap-tap.

The coverage is pretty good. I find myself using it regularly without any issues.
ConsBecause of its hydrating formula, it tends to transfer onto masks a bit, which is a shame.

It's moisturizing, and the color has improved compared to the ashy tones of previous nude cushions.
ConsWhile the vanilla shade is nicely bright, it falls short in covering redness. Being quite moisturizing, it tends to transfer onto masks easily and lacks staying power.
TipFor best results, apply a thin layer all over and use concealer for additional coverage. This helps minimize transfer onto masks.

It's incredibly hydrating, and you can feel your makeup applying smoothly right away. The coverage is great too!
ConsHowever, due to its moisturizing nature, some transfer is unavoidable

It gives a lovely complexion and, best of all, it's wonderfully hydrating. Highly recommended for combination to dry skin types!
ConsUnfortunately, it transfers onto masks quite a bit. After wearing it for about 8 hours, you'll find a lot of product on your mask...

It's moisturizing, so I used it well in winter. Shade 21 is perfect for lighter skin tones, while 23 suits darker complexions. Great coverage that gives your skin a nice glow - I'm in love! It covers pores effectively too.
ConsMight not be suitable for those with textured skin or a lot of dead skin cells...? On days when I didn't exfoliate, it flaked off around my nose area. Also, despite Jung Saem Mool's official page recommending shade 21, that doesn't seem accurate... Shade 23 might be better for those wanting a lighter look? 22 would be just right. In these mask-wearing times, it transfers onto masks easily, requiring frequent touch-ups (though it's not cakey and reapplies well on faded areas). Let's revisit this once the pandemic is over.
TipExfoliation is a must... The difference in skin appearance between exfoliating and not is night and day.

My skin feels comfortable and hydrated. 2. It fades beautifully without patchiness. 3. This product alone can naturally cover the skin. 4. When touching up, it applies smoothly without caking.
Cons1. Controlling the amount is really, really important. Beginners might find it challenging to use it prettily. 2. It transfers onto masks. While it creates a beautiful complexion, it's a shame it can't shine during these COVID times. 3. Personally, I'm not satisfied with the puff. It doesn't seem to bring out the best of the cushion formula. It actually seems to work better with other sponges.
TipIf you use a thick sponge with less pore visibility to control the amount and apply it, you can create a beautiful, natural-looking complexion with an attractive fade. Recently, I found the Banila Co sponge to be the most compatible.

I can't understand why it costs $50.
ConsI'm usually someone who avoids leaving negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, as I don't want to cause trouble or harm others. However, the way this cushion sits on the skin feels exactly like that - just sitting on top. You need to pat it in more than other cushions, and it transfers and smudges easily. The color isn't particularly flattering either. It looks cakey no matter how thinly you apply it. I regret spending my own money on this.
TipBe careful to pat gently to avoid leaving marks, and make sure to pat a lot.
