These days, most Olive Young palettes have light pink shades with a grayish undertone, making it difficult for darker skin to show the colors well. So I bought this Leather Shop palette that was released two years ago. It's exactly the look I've been wanting! The orange hue is spot-on! The red shade is perfect! Every color applies beautifully, and I'm so thrilled. There are three types of shimmer shades, colors suitable for eyeliner, and the combination of shades is just fantastic. Also, the plastic sheet that comes with it when you open it has the shadow names written on it, which looks so pretty that I've kept it in.
ConsGiven its small size and visibly thin pans, I think the base colors will run out quickly.

That's why I chose the Leather Shop palette from Etude House, known for their top-notch shadows among road shop brands. I was torn between In the Cafe, Bake House, and Leather Shop, but ultimately went for the most luxurious-looking Leather Shop. It truly is the most sophisticated. For a perfect daily look, I apply one of the three base colors, then either Classic Brown (9) or Hand Stitch (10), and top it off with one of the three gorgeous shimmer shades. The pearl shadows are absolutely stunning, and they have great staying power too. I work outdoors, exposed to wind and sweat, but the shadows stay put almost all day. Even when they start to fade, they do so beautifully. I'm completely satisfied with the adhesion and longevity! I've been receiving compliments on my makeup every day!
ConsHowever, there's a reddish Italian leather shade that might not work for those with a youthful appearance or muted skin tone like me. No matter how I tried, it just looked odd. Also, I was initially drawn to the pumpkin-colored Vegetable Leather shade, but unfortunately, it doesn't suit me at all. So I can't use those two colors. Another issue is that the base shades - Initial Label (1), Camel Brown (3), and Leather Tassel (6) - look different when swatched but appear almost identical once applied to the eyelids. Lastly, while the second pearl shade is beautifully eye-catching, it doesn't hit pan like other shadows when used frequently. Instead, it clumps and gets messy, so I ended up just dusting it off completely. Such a shame!
TipDefinitely buy online. The price difference compared to the official store is enormous. I usually apply the base color with a brush, then the deeper shade, and finally pat on the shimmer with my finger. I highly recommend this palette!

While I found the Bake House colors a bit too light overall, this palette offers a great range from light to medium to deep shades, making it much more versatile. Highly recommended for those with deep undertones! I particularly love that there are many matte colors, as I usually only use shimmer for accents.
ConsThere's one shade that's an incredibly intense orange, which can be a bit challenging to use. Apart from that, I'm using all the other colors quite comfortably.

If you have a deep undertone, you'll absolutely love the color combination. It's perfect for creating that autumn vibe makeup look. There are various shades that remind me of leather. Compared to Bakehouse, it's much warmer and more saturated, making it more suitable for deeper makeup rather than light daily looks. Among the 10 colors, 'Vegetable Leather' caught my eye the most and made me buy this palette. It's a unique shade you don't often see in other palettes, making it totally worth collecting. The glitters are also incredibly ethereal and beautiful. With a price in the 20,000 won range, it's even cheaper on sale, offering great value for money and definitely worth adding to your collection.
ConsMany of these colors aren't available as single shadows. I wish they would release them all as singles too. The Leather Shop palette is truly beautiful! There's nothing to complain about

There's not a single shadow I'd want to toss out! There's a tiny bit of excess powder, but it's still fantastic. The tip brush is so good that I use it for applying other glitters too! This is definitely a palette that people with deep undertones won't regret buying. Make sure to check out the pro tips! It's truly beautiful.
ConsDownsides? Hmm... No matter how much I think about it, I can't find any! I'm using it so well!
TipDaily Makeup: Starting from the left, if we call it shadow #1, apply #1 as a base, then mix #3 and #4 and apply to the crease line (I have hidden double eyelids, so I just apply it close to the eye!), then use #9 for contouring. Glamorous Makeup: Start with #1 or #6 as a base, mix #4 and #8 for front and back contouring, lightly contour the crease line with #3, apply #2 on the eyelid, #5 on the aegyo-sal (under-eye area), use #9 to create a triangle zone, then after applying eyeliner, blend again with #9 for a stunning look. Pro tip: Applying #5 to the aegyo-sal is key! I thought using such a dark shimmer under the eyes would look strange, but it's absolutely gorgeous!

The most impressive aspect is its vivid color payoff! The color range isn't your typical dull brown, but rather a collection of brown hues with subtle red and coral undertones. This prevents that yellowish eye makeup look and instead makes your eyes appear more defined. Secondly, I love how lightweight and compact the packaging is, making it perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. The size is just right, and the elongated oval shape of the shadows allows for even use without creating a dip in one specific spot.
ConsIf you're not comfortable with intense eyeshadow colors, the strong pigmentation might catch you off guard, so proceed with caution.
TipFor those who find eye makeup challenging, I recommend swatching on the back of your hand first and then building up the color gradually on your lids. The high pigmentation might be surprising if applied directly to the eyes. You can create a lovely autumn look using just the matte shades, or add a pop of shimmer with one of the pearl-infused shadows for a bit of sparkle. My go-to daily combinations are: Base shade 1 + lid shade 10 + shade 9 for outer corner definition, or Base shade 4 + lid shade 3 + shade 8 for outer corner definition.

I was shocked when I swatched it on my arm - just one swipe with my finger and it was so intense. When applied with a brush and blended out, it looks beautifully on the eyes. * Adherence Unlike the Rosé Wine palette where the shimmers didn't stick well and the mattes weren't very pigmented, both the shimmer and matte shadows in this palette adhere wonderfully to the skin. I'm really impressed! * Color Combination There's a great variety of base shades, medium tones, and deep colors for dimension. You can create gorgeous looks no matter how you combine them! The left 5 shades make a beautiful orange-brown look, while the right 5 are perfect for a reddish-brown makeup. Let me break down each shade: - Initial Label: A base shade that's more pigmented than expected, with a slight orange undertone. - Bead Decoration: My favorite! Amazing shimmer with multi-colored sparkles that pop. - Camel Brown: Great for creating depth and sultry eye looks. - Vegetable Leather: The reason I bought this palette! A unique yellow-toned shadow that's surprisingly wearable. - Gold Buckle: A stunning glitter shade that applies evenly with a brown-pink base. - Leather Tassel: Versatile reddish shade, perfect as a base or main color. - Vintage Strap: The only true shimmer, a beautiful reddish-orange. - Italian Leather: Pairs wonderfully with Vintage Strap for a bold, fiery look. - Classic Brown: A softer brown, great for blending and everyday use. - Hand Stitch: Gorgeous ashy brown with subtle sparkles, reminiscent of Bake House's 'Almond Croissant'.
ConsI wish they had included one long eyeshadow brush instead of two shadow tip brushes. The tip brushes are mainly useful for applying shimmer. Also, for those with muted skin tones like me, some of the base shades might be too intense. A few colors could have been less pigmented - they all seem like main colors due to their intensity.
TipWhile the Bake House palette is perfect for soft, cardigan-weather looks, the Leather Shop palette creates more intense, edgy makeup - like something you'd wear with a leather jacket. If you prefer lighter makeup, I'd recommend Bake House over Leather Shop. The pigmentation in Leather Shop is no joke!

I just couldn't resist buying it! It's the first time I've loved every single shade in a 10-pan palette. While I've never had a proper personal color analysis, I have monolids and slightly protruding eyes. So I usually avoid reddish shadows that might make my eyes look puffy, and I'm not a fan of pink shades in general. I've always gravitated towards warm-toned shadows, which is why this palette was a no-brainer for me. This palette has just the right amount of red undertones and exudes a luxurious leather-like vibe - it's truly the perfect autumn palette for warm-toned skin! What I love most is that all 10 shades are brand new colors. I was considering buying a mini palette, but the last shade in this 10-pan palette, 'Hand Stitch', sealed the deal for me. Personally, I'm a big fan of matte shadows with glitter specks. The fourth shade is also quite unique - not something you'd typically find in a roadshop brand. I appreciate that there are more matte shadows (I'm not a fan of shimmer shadows at all). The quality has definitely improved compared to their earlier 10-pan palettes. As palettes have become more popular, it seems the quality of shadows in palettes has become as good as single shadows. The pigmentation, blending, longevity, and adherence are all excellent.
ConsTo be honest, shades 1, 3, and 6 don't show much difference when applied, unless you really pack them on heavily.

I think cool-toned folks could pull it off too! The pigmentation is pretty decent, and the glitter is beautifully eye-catching.
ConsThe only slight downside is... a tiny bit of excess powder fallout...?
