On days when my skin drinks up toner well, this glossy product gives my face an insane glow. The color is beautiful too! It seems to be somewhat affected by your base skincare. I feel like the results can be inconsistent depending on your skin condition. I've noticed it can sometimes sit on top of the skin too. I found that applying it after using slightly less base skincare helps it sit better on the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2023
As a cushion nomad, I did my research on Hwahae reviews before buying, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. It might be better suited for those with lighter skin tones. It doesn't adhere well to the skin and feels like it's sitting on top. The shade is a bit on the lighter side. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2023
Apart from the quality ingredients, there wasn't much to highlight. However, it's a plus that it doesn't seem to cause blemishes when applied. It pills and separates on the skin, applying quite thick, yet somehow fails to provide good coverage. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 14, 2022
As an ampoule cushion, it's great for keeping skin hydrated during winter. While the coverage isn't extraordinary, it provides a decent amount of coverage. It can sometimes make skin texture appear more pronounced. If you don't prep your skin well, it might not sit smoothly on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 18, 2022
It seems to give my skin a plump and bouncy appearance. Really good! It doesn't adhere well to the skin at all. It keeps rubbing off everywhere. I don't think I'll be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2022
I decided to try this product because the ingredients seemed good and it was affordable. To my surprise, it left my skin feeling more hydrated and gave me a brighter complexion than I expected. While the color itself is pretty, it didn't quite work for me as I have a yellowish undertone to my skin. It made my face look a bit too pale and washed out. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 2, 2022
It absorbs well and feels great on the skin. After application, my complexion has a beautiful glow that I really love. Perhaps because I have dry skin, if I don't apply enough moisturizer beforehand, it seems to sit on top of my skin a bit and doesn't last as long as I'd like. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 12, 2021
I wasn't looking for dramatically intense coverage, so I appreciated the cool, moisturizing first touch when applying it lightly. The sponge holding the product is quite firm, which is actually a plus as it prevents over-application of the ampoule. While it does break down over time, since I apply it so lightly, I find it maintains a natural look close to my original skin tone - that perfect 'no-makeup makeup' effect. I prioritized hydration when choosing a cushion, and although it can feel slightly tight after a while, a solid skincare base easily counteracts this. My nose has large pores, and this cushion makes them stand out even more, which isn't flattering. Even when I try to blend it in, the pores on my nose look like dark spots. If I keep trying to cover them, my nose ends up looking too pale. What can I do? I guess I have to blame my large nose pores. At least when I wear a mask, it's hidden, and I have to wait for the moisture inside the mask to naturally blend it. The coverage isn't particularly high, so blemishes are still visible. The yellow case looks a bit faded, which isn't great for carrying around. I'm not one for touch-ups anyway, so I just leave it at home. It would be nice if they could redesign the case to give it a fresher look. The inner lid covering the product sponge needs to be pressed down firmly on all sides until you hear a click. If you don't close it properly, air can get in. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 7, 2021
I have a reddish complexion around shade 22, with visible dead skin cells and pores. My combination dehydrated skin isn't excessively oily, but makeup tends to separate on it. When applied in thin layers with a patting motion, it provides good coverage while adhering well to the skin, leaving a matte finish without any shine. It seems to adhere so well that there's minimal transfer onto masks. If you're experiencing a lot of transfer, you might be applying too much product or your skin's oil is preventing proper adhesion. The makeup didn't break down quickly or look messy. In fact, after wearing a mask and coming home, it looked even more natural and beautiful when I took the mask off. It's not particularly hydrating, so if you have very dry skin or haven't properly moisturized beforehand, it might look a bit cakey or accentuate dead skin cells. After thorough skincare, apply a small amount with a puff using a patting motion all over your face. For areas needing more coverage, gently layer a bit more. This method provides sufficient coverage. If you have oily skin or need to apply thicker layers for more coverage, you might want to use a makeup fixer to minimize transfer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2021
The ingredients are great! I bought it because of the formula. It's a product I'd recommend based on its components. It helps cover blemishes and other skin concerns. It's too light. Compared to other #21 shades, it feels like it's floating on my face rather than blending in. You'll need to practice applying it in small amounts. Spread it out carefully to avoid pilling.
