• The application feels unique. It starts off smooth but becomes more viscous as you apply, creating a coating sensation. • After application, hands don't feel slippery, which is less bothersome. • Great hydration. My chapped hands became soft after using this product for just a day or two. • No irritating fragrance, so it doesn't bother my nose. • The thickening texture as you apply might lead to using more than necessary, which can make hands feel uncomfortable. • While there's no harsh scent, there's a very faint silicon-like smell. • Instead of applying it all over your hands, focus on nails and the back of hands to make the coating sensation less overwhelming. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 6, 2021
Well... I received this as a gratis item, so I didn't have high expectations. But surprisingly, it's incredibly good...??? It's been a while since I actually bought hand cream, as I often receive them as gifts. However, if I had to spend my own money on one after using up everything at home, I'd definitely purchase this! It's almost reached holy grail status for me!! Let me explain why it's so great, based on what I consider important in a hand cream: 1. Absorption I absolutely hate stickiness or slipperiness left on my hands... This is the most crucial factor for me in hand creams. Initially, I was skeptical because it contains shea butter and is called 'hand butter', plus the texture seemed thick when squeezing it out. I thought, 'Oh no, it's going to be super rich...' Even when applying, it didn't spread easily and needed some effort. But!! After a while, it absorbed surprisingly well!! The finish wasn't sticky or greasy at all, which was unexpected and quite impressive! 2. Hydration As I mentioned, I've always avoided products that leave a residue, so I used to opt for very light formulas. The downside is that they're not very moisturizing. I've been choosing slightly dry over sticky... But this product keeps my hands hydrated until the next wash, even with just one application..!!! It moisturizes well, has great staying power, doesn't feel sticky, and even leaves a soft, powdery finish. Since using this, the back of my hands feels smooth and supple. 3. Psoriasis improvement This is why I'm raving about this hand cream. After COVID, frequent hand washing and using harsh sanitizers left my hands extremely dry, inflamed, itchy, and cracked. It was awful. I've used about 2/3 of this hand cream over winter, and now my hands look much better! If I forget to apply it, I sometimes feel itchy and see redness, but a few applications calm it down! It feels like it's providing a protective barrier for my hands!! 4. Value for money Considering the volume and effectiveness, I think the price is reasonable. Plus, Sidmool sometimes offers it as a gratis item with cumulative purchases (though this may change), making it an excellent product! I'll definitely keep buying and using it! Honestly, I don't have many complaints. I'll just mention some aspects that might be hit-or-miss or neutral for me: 1. Scent Looking at other reviews, this seems to be the most controversial point. I understand why - I also questioned the scent at first. It seems to be the raw shea butter scent, but to me, it has a hint of rubber or plastic. Honestly, it's not a pleasant smell when you first sniff it. But personally, I dislike perfumed hand creams as they give me headaches, and I use mostly unscented cosmetics, so I quickly got used to this scent. While subtly scented hand creams have their charm, the advantage here is that it's free from added fragrances, so you can use it with peace of mind! 2. Portability At 60g, it's a bit large to carry around, so I use something else when I'm out. This one is perfect for keeping on my desk for frequent use or in the bathroom to apply right after washing hands! It's ideal for keeping in easily accessible spots at home! 3. Spreadability The texture is quite thick, so it takes some effort to squeeze out of the tube. It gets especially difficult as you're nearing the end. Because of this, it doesn't spread as smoothly when applying. It works great on rough heels! I have dry feet, and when I apply this before bed, the moisture lasts until the next day!! Also, for those who find it heavy or feel like it leaves a residue (this might vary depending on skin type), try applying a smaller amount right after washing your hands, before they're completely dry. This way, it'll feel moisturizing without leaving too much of a residue! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 3, 2020
It's incredibly soft and feels refreshing when applied to the feet. It really seems to make my skin silky smooth, which I love. The scent is... slightly disappointing. I usually enjoy cool fragrances, but this one smells a bit medicinal. Still, it's tolerable at this level. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2019
I received this as a gratis from Sidmool and used it before. Now I'm using it again, and I love that it's not sticky at all. It might be better if it had no scent at all... It has a chemical and herbal smell that's slightly sour and off-putting. Even if they didn't use fragrance due to the ingredients, it's embarrassing to be near someone in the office after applying this. It seems like it would be good to use as a foot cream or heel cream before bed at home. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinJun 19, 2019
The hydration is definitely noticeable! The price is reasonable, and the size is great too. There are some ingredients that aren't good for oily skin. And the smell is absolutely awful... I wouldn't even call it a fragrance. For me, this was truly the worst cosmetic scent ever. Yuck! I recommend applying it thickly at night before bed rather than using it during daytime activities. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 2, 2018
It's almost as rich as petroleum jelly, making it perfect for extremely dry areas like the soles of your feet or elbows. First off, the scent is a bit off-putting. While it's better than using artificial fragrances, personally, I find this product's smell hard to tolerate consistently. It's reminiscent of a medicinal odor. Moreover, although it's a hand cream, it's excessively oily and absorbs slowly, making it difficult to do other tasks after application. Imagine trying to hold a pen and write... That's why I mainly use it on my heels or elbows, but even then, the slow absorption means I have to put on socks immediately or cover with a blanket to avoid getting oil everywhere. I'm using it because I received it as a gratis item, but personally, it's not a product I'd spend money on to repurchase. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2018
Wow, this cream really feels like a dense butter packed with shea butter! The best part? It keeps your skin moisturized for ages. Plus, it's super convenient to carry around. I have a membership for gel nails, and after removing them, my nails often get damaged, split, and thin out. That's when this cream comes to the rescue! I slather it on before bed, and it feels like it's giving my nails some much-needed nourishment. It applies with a slightly heavy feeling and doesn't spread easily... it's like applying melted butter. Looks just like white ointment! Oh no... I hate to say it, but the scent is seriously off-putting. It smells like that weird ointment my dad uses. For a hand and nail cream, it seems they completely overlooked the importance of fragrance. The smell is so bad, it makes me want to run away! This isn't your typical fragrant hand cream for going out. It's more for slathering on your damaged nails before bedtime. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2018
I received this as a cumulative gratis from Sidmool. I love hand creams with urea because they have a clean feel. Unlike other urea-containing hand creams, this one is incredibly moisturizing without being slippery, making it perfect for everyday use. The finish is so clean you'll wonder if you even applied it, but it's wonderfully hydrating! I usually don't apply hand cream to my palms while working, but with this one, I do. It's mentioned that due to the absence of synthetic fragrances, it has the natural scent of shea butter. To my nose, the shea butter scent is like... a mix of fresh herbal scent that would thrive deep in the mountains, plus a peculiar smell reminiscent of the surface of Scotch tape. The fragrance might be polarizing. While I've gotten used to it, it's stronger than expected, which I don't like. The Scotch tape adhesive smell is surprisingly potent. I tried using it as a spot treatment when my legs were dry and itchy, but it seems weak for that kind of moisturizing. I'd recommend it as an everyday hand cream! Not recommended for those with extremely dry hands or those looking for a water-drop texture or something very hydrating and fresh. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2018
I received this as gratis twice, and the hydration is amazing! Thanks to the shea butter, it's super rich, which is perfect when my skin is dry! Oh please, I'm begging you to change the fragrance... When I first received it as gratis, the smell made me go 'Ugh!' I can't even remember if I threw away that first one or where it is. The recent one I got still has that same old scent, like floor wax from an old classroom or rubber eraser smell. I sometimes apply it before bed when my skin feels dry, but because of the unpleasant scent, I don't reach for it often... It's such a shame. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2018
Sidmool feels trustworthy and safe to use. The price doesn't seem too high either. Like other Sidmool products, this one seems to have less content than expected. It looks like the tube is only half full. Considering that, the price isn't really that cheap for the amount you get. More importantly, the quality is quite poor. It doesn't absorb well, and after applying it, my desk, keyboard, and mouse become greasy. The shocking part is that while it leaves a greasy film on the surface, my skin still feels dry underneath. Also, the medicinal scent is really off-putting. Even though I received this as a gratis item, I definitely wouldn't spend my own money on it.
