The first photo shows the color when applied normally, and the second shows the stained color. The third photo is my bare lips without any product, and the fourth photo shows the color blended only on the outer edges of the lips. The fifth photo displays the stained color. This product lives up to the brand's claims of excellent longevity. As it's a blurry tint, those with some dead skin cells on their lips might find it accentuates them, so I recommend exfoliating before application. The color differs between normal application and blending. While the product page shows almost no orange tones, when actually applied and blended, it takes on a slight reddish-orange hue. Because of this, I use a lip brush to apply the product as a base, then layer additional product on top. By loading the lip brush with enough product and applying it along the lip line, I can achieve the color I want - the same as when it's first applied. Tip for applying velvet tints! The night before, apply a generous amount of Vaseline to your lips. When you wake up and wash your face, gently rub your lips with wet fingers to easily remove dead skin cells. Tips for applying this product! Apply the product to your lips, blot once with a tissue, then reapply and blend. This creates a truly long-lasting lip that won't come off even during water activities! However, if you're like me and don't like the color change, I recommend using a lip brush to apply the product as I mentioned earlier. - xz*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 14, 2024

As someone with a deep undertone and naturally darker lips, this is my favorite velvet tint! 1. Color It's a pale coral-pink, but the pink stands out more. With its medium-low saturation and high brightness, it's perfect for those with fair, light skin tones! Initially, it goes on as a warm pink, but as time passes, the stain develops a cool pink undertone. This makes it suitable for those with light undertones too. Even though I have a deep undertone, it doesn't look out of place on me, but if you're very tone-sensitive, you might want to consider that. 2. Staying power If you follow the product instructions - applying several layers and blotting off the excess with a tissue - it really lasts! It doesn't come off even after eating, to the point where my coworkers ask what I'm using. 3. Color payoff While glossy lips generally suit me well, I have slightly protruding lips with a naturally darker color. Glossy products tend to draw too much attention to my lower face and don't show their true color. However, this product covers my natural lip color and shows its true shade even with a thin application! Of course, you could apply it thickly for a glossy look, but that's not always practical for touch-ups when you're out. This is so easy to use! As it's a velvet formula focused on longevity, it does emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit. If you don't apply lip balm generously every night before bed and exfoliate, it can look patchy and messy to the point where you can't wear it. For perfect color payoff and smooth application, try this routine: The night before, apply Etude's Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask. The next morning, gently remove any dead skin cells with a damp wipe. Then apply the tint. For long-lasting wear, apply a thin layer and blend for a gradient effect, then blot with a tissue. Repeat this process two or three times. It won't budge until evening... Ironically, applying it too thickly makes it wear off more easily. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 30, 2023
The color payoff is truly beautiful and the staying power is quite good. It applies with a matte, velvety finish, earning compliments every time I wear it. A small amount tends to stick around the container opening. If not tightly closed, it can leak and become sticky. For a perfect lip line finish, gently smudge the edges with a cotton swab. This creates a lovely pastel lip look! - wh******Combination SkinRecommendedOct 14, 2023
It's delicately pretty and the color shows up nicely even on darker lips The staying power doesn't last long. It's gone after one cup of coffee. I'd repurchase if it weren't for the poor longevity Tint gradation - gk*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 26, 2022
I'm totally obsessed with Forencos lips and bought them in every shade! This Lucid color, along with Nocturne, is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for my complexion! It makes me look so radiant and I'm in love with it. For someone with small lips like me, it's the perfect base for overdrawn lips. While I'm not entirely sure about my exact skin tone, I'm definitely more cool-toned than warm. Beige or gold tones make me look older and dull my complexion, so I always go for pink tones or reds with a pink undertone. Even with orange shades, I prefer ones with a hint of pink. Lucid is orange-based but has that pink undertone, and when first applied, it's such a bright orange it almost looks neon! Forencos products generally have a matte finish with good staying power, but they can sometimes accentuate dead skin cells a bit. However, this Lucid shade feels a bit more moisturizing than their other matte lips. I always use Forencos lips as a base and never wear them alone! This is the best for overdrawn lips! I apply the matte Forencos lip as a base, overdrawing my lips slightly. Then I dab a long-lasting tattoo tint on the inner part of my lips for a gradient effect - it's perfect! Even after eating, while it may have faded slightly, it doesn't smudge or completely wear off. I'm not one to touch up my makeup often, so I'm very satisfied with its staying power. Even when I check the mirror after work, the color is still there. The first two photos are before eating, and the last one is after eating. - db******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedFeb 27, 2022
Color payoff: The shade is absolutely gorgeous, and the color payoff is exactly as you see it. Honest and precise. No need for further explanation. Longevity: The staying power is quite impressive. Even after a light meal, it doesn't wear off significantly and remains naturally in place, which I really appreciate. Ingredients: Well... for someone with super sensitive skin like me, some of the ingredients are a bit disappointing. It feels slightly itchy and puffy, if I can describe it that way? That's just my personal experience. So I only apply it when my skin is in good condition. If you apply it too thickly, it can look cakey, break down, and even create a yogurt-like effect. So here's the trick! Before application, make sure your lips are as dry as possible, even on the inside. Apply a thin layer, gently blot it off, and then apply another layer. This way, it lasts much longer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2021
The color of this product is absolutely stunning! It's so beautiful that you absolutely must buy it for the color alone. I'm not exaggerating, it's truly amazing! Well... I can't really think of any downsides worth mentioning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2021
Long-lasting with minimal emphasis on dead skin cells. The packaging is also pleasantly sleek. The strawberry scent resembles strawberry toothpaste, which may be polarizing for some. Creates a beautiful gradient effect when applied. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 4, 2021
I've tried many tints, and usually if they have good staying power, they're matte and prone to cracking and drying out my lips. If they have great color payoff, they don't last long. Each had its pros and cons, but this product has it all - long-lasting, moisturizing, doesn't crack, and barely stains. You don't need to touch up multiple times. It feels like I've found my holy grail! The Lucid shade is a bright, fresh pink color that's perfect for creating a spring-inspired look. I think it's important to choose a shade that complements your complexion and overall vibe. Personally, I find that orange-toned colors give me a more lively appearance and suit me better than pinks. For a more defined and beautiful lip line, try applying some BB cream or concealer to cover your lips slightly before using the tint. Once you try this product, you won't be able to use anything else. I highly recommend it!
