They called it a 'rice pack' and I trusted their opinion! I've been using gommage-type peeling gels or cleansers for exfoliation, but I felt they weren't quite enough to remove sebum and impurities from my pores. This Gangwha Rice Pack, however, has rice bran powder that acts as a scrub, making it noticeably more effective at clearing away dead skin cells and impurities. Because it's rice-based, my face seems to brighten up for a while after scrubbing - even though it's not marketed as a brightening product, I definitely notice a luminous effect, which I'm thrilled about! I usually have very severe redness and have to be extremely careful even with gentle peeling gels, but surprisingly, this didn't irritate my skin much despite containing bran powder. After rinsing off the pack, my skin doesn't feel dry at all - it's as if I've already applied a moisturizer, with a beautiful glow. But the best part was the product's scent - it has this uniquely nutty fragrance I've never experienced in skincare before. It suits the pack perfectly... I almost wanted to eat it!
ConsIt's nice that they included a spatula, showing attention to detail, but I found it a bit cumbersome to use. Applying with a brush was much more convenient. It would be great if they included a wash-off pack brush. Also, while similar wash-off packs at Olive Young tend to be quite affordable, this Dr. Schwarz product is quite pricey. If they could offer more discounts, I'd keep using it and spread the word!
TipThis might be a bit of an unconventional tip, but with the changing seasons and autumn dryness, my lips have been extremely parched with noticeable dead skin. I've found that if I slightly dampen my lips and then gently scrub them with this pack, it effectively removes the dead skin. Just remember, lips are delicate, so be very gentle - that's the key! Afterwards, make sure to apply a nourishing lip balm. This lip scrubbing method works so well that even when I apply matte lipstick, which usually emphasizes flakiness, my lips stay smooth and flake-free!
