The first photo shows my skin after using Nizoral wash incorrectly, with severe skin inflammation. My pores are clogged with sebum plugs and have become enlarged. Recently, after incorrectly using Nizoral wash, my skin barrier was completely compromised, so I urgently purchased the Suiskin cleanser, toner, and cream. I had previously raved about the Suiskin mildly alkaline cleanser in a review. I'll have to use it more, but so far, out of the many basic skincare lines I've tried over the years, this is the first one that seems to work so well for me (by "well" I mean no breakouts or irritation, and minimal sensitivity - I don't really expect miracles from skincare products). I had heard that toners and watery essences can be "poison" for skin inflammation, so I hadn't used them in years. But I liked the simple ingredients in the Suiskin toner, and I thought using it after the mildly alkaline cleanser might help rebalance my skin's pH, so I decided to give it a try. I'm usually very sensitive to products that don't agree with me (the Tonymoly Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Toner was a disaster for me), but this toner seems gentle and provides a nice amount of hydration, so I've been continuing to use it. And the Suiskin moisturizer is quite light, so the toner helps add a bit more moisture without making it feel heavy. I've been experimenting with using the toner alone or with the cream. I also tend to not do well with hyaluronic acid-heavy products, having had to discontinue toners and serums with that, but so far I'm not getting that same problematic reaction with this. That alone is a huge relief.

It feels like refreshing water, with little oiliness, and it seems to perform the toner role adequately. I just cleanse my face, remove excess water, and then immediately apply the toner by pouring a small amount onto my clean hands and patting it in quickly. It seems to work well for me.
